Hey yall! I know I posted this idea before, but no one said anything about it. Well I took the liberty to make a banner for fan fiction writers and readers to put on their site, their account name, etc. Who knows? We might attract more people this way! Anyways here it is:

Here's coding to make it perfection: <html> <body> <a href="http://verdigris.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=fanfic"> <img border="0" src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/cupcake125/verdigris.gif" width="65" height="38"> </a> </body> </html> This coding links it to the fan fiction section. Therefore, easy advertising! P.S.- This is only for html-enabled stuff.

'Tis, but something isn't right. <html> <body> <a href="http://verdigris.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=fanfic"> <img border="0" src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/cupcake125/verdigris.gif" width="65" height="38"> </a> </body> </html> The "> after verdigris.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=fanfic tricks the computer and looks like it's part of the HTML. If you click on verdigris.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=fanfic"> it comes up with an error message. I'm not sure, but that might be preventing the banner from coming up as anything on my account. I've been trying to fix this without success (I'm no coding whiz). Any ideas? EDIT: This comes up just fine when you use the image code (the regular [/img] thing), but how do we get the reference to work?

That's why I'm guessing the coding will only work on HTML-enabled stuff. I don't think that Verdigris's software will allow us to use images as links. It'll work on html stuff (such as coding on a LJ for links), but I haven't had any sucess doing that. Guess it won't work on wickedonbroadway then, huh?

No...I guess not. But, if we use it on another website, how can we get the link to lead to the right place and not to an error message?

Maybe if we put in a return before that tag.
<html> <body> <a href="http://verdigris.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=fanfic "> <img border="0" src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/cupcake125/verdigris.gif" width="65" height="38"> </a> </body> </html>

It will turn up fine, it won't link to an error message. It just looks like it will because you're posting it in a non-html-accepting place.

Hey! Sorry it took so long to get back to you I Will Be Popular. Sure, as long as you host them on your own site, because otherwise it eats up my bandwith. Anyways, no credit neccesary and I am flattered that you asked GG

One of the problems we don't see many new users now is this:
My friend just created an account. After she activated it, it gave her a message, saying that her account needed to be approved by a staff member. But the staff members rarely frequent the board anymore, so no accounts are approved.
Is there any way to fix this?

Huh. When I joined, accounts didn't have to be approved. But, that was almost a year ago (dang nabit!). Maybe if a new mod was appointed they could fix this? I know that we could find ways to get in touch with Cate, should we need to.
