I'm reading it at last, and I must say I'm hooked! I tried reading it a few times, but couldn't get into it. Yesterday, when I tried once again, I realized that once you get past "Munchkinlanders," it's very good. I didn't really enjoy "Munchkinlanders" but now it's good. I imagine everyone like they are in the musical, though. For Boq, however, I tried to imagine him how they describe him in the book since it's different than in the musical, but it wasn't working -- I imagined him fat and couldn't get the image out. I"m currently on Chapter 5 of "Boq." I just thought I'd share some slight (or more than slight) ramblings...

Yeah a little preview for you, minus any spoilers...Book Boq and Musical Boq...very different characters. But isn't it cool reading the book and thinking, ah so this is where Defying Gravity would come in...that's my favorite part, placing the songs.

Sa Yeah I love placing the songs too It was interesting to see the musical-tie-in book with the pictures that were captioned with Maguire's writing. Kinda along the same lines as placing the songs.

Yes, I figured out that Book Boq and Musicals Boq are very different.
Every time something from the musical pops up, I freak out -- the word popular, a line they said in the musical too, anything!
My first two days of reading were fast... it's going slower now though, since I've been sick. Next time I read, I will be starting "In the Vinkus."

I thought that was so cool. I wanna look now but my book is at school. Oh well. But the captions that he chose were so dead it, it was great. I loved it. Sa

I finished it! It was great, but I definitely like the stage version better.
I hate book Nessa. She's so boring, I'm glad she died.
