Gotta say, this was by far, one of the BEST shows I've seen. Carole Shelley as the Emcee (not THAT one, hello the imagery) did a FABULOUS job, from Shakespeare's Tainted Love with naked men, to "SHe fierce" (re: Missy Elliot) to "Eden Espinosa! Wassup?" and let's not forget the Cheno introduction "The Poppycon. Oops! I mean POP ICON and Southern Baptist whore who's new autobiography "Ooops I did it again....And again....And again...And..." Hee! I heart Carole Shelley. Eden Espinosa ROCKED on "What's Up", originally done back in the day by 4 Non Blonds, and looked supercute in a cut out white WICKED shirt, mini skirt, fishnets over Elphaba-green tights, and ankle high Uggs. Ben Cameron and Kristy Cates showed us how dey do it in Jersey, trailer park style, with a VERY white trash wedding meddly. Manny Herrera and Kisha Howard had a dance duet while Kathy Deitch and Rhett George sang "Wish You Were Here", backed by Eden and...Marcus Choi? (ALy? I don't remember). Adinah Alexander was TOTALLY channeling Janis Joplin, and Eddie Korbich closed with "Somebody to Love" by Queen, backed by the entire cast. I, unfortunately, didn't get to take part in pot show, beer swigging Cheno Love 2004, with Aly, Jaime, et al and broadway.com, because I was out in the lobby, talking to my future roomie. But it was still a great night  |

Darn that little party with the Cheno and broadway.com was so much fun! Kristin was oh so nice during it and it was so great when they took the pic! If it actually ends up on the site I will die!

No, Idina wasn't there, even though she was billed. There was a disclaimer that said "Artists subject to change" or something. Cheno was originally billed, then yanked, and showed up anyway. There's speculation that Idina might have dropped out last minute (fr whatever reason) and Kristin pinch hitted. Or it was planned all along. Who knows? |

No, Kristin said that she was going to be going the whole time (or at least for a while). She just wanted it to be a HUGE surprise...which it was. And pictures, as well as sounds, are coming soon. Be on the lookout for official ones from broadway.com and playbill.com too! Also by tonight I'll have an update on the lj....

DSO, I am so jealous! It totally sounds like it rockified and that's such a cute picture Aly! Too bad Dee wasn't there though. I still bet it was great. The pity party was some fun though too, while I was there, llam.  |

Which person were you? (I met so many people I am having brain freezes left and right trying to remember -- and I want to remember EVERYONE!) because I remember the entire group was sort of gathered, and I told her she got me in trouble with the entire fan club because everyone thought I knew and withheld. And she went all blank and said, "You didn't know?" lol. But I am glad I did not know, because it was a very nice surprise. Even if I did miss my Idina. *sniff* I really wanted to hear her sing a cover from one of her albums. Another time, I guess. |

Sounds like everyone had a great time! Aly, you look so cute with Cheno in that pic It sounds like Carole Shelly was a riot! The pity party was, well, pityish llam. Glad everyone had fun at the gala event. |
