Hmm.. maybe it is Melissa. Now that you mention it, I'm not sure. I swore I was told it was Eden, though.
Oh, and I've seen Eden leave the stage door many times. She's there every night - has to be, in case something happens during the show and she has to go on.

Wow. Maybe there's an u/s for the above mentioned character. I didn't know Eden was her though! That's excellent. Maybe when Eden's Elphaba, Melissa plays the aforementioned character. (sorry--too lazy to blacken the name out) that'd work, except edens only been elphaba once, and that was after i spoke to melissa (not that you would no bout me speaking to melissa but...) also, dorothy is supposed to be ten, ten year olds are short, like a certain other amazing actress whom we all love, but thats besides the point. eden is closer to idinas height, while melissa is either kristins height or an inch taller. ok, just a fact supporting my previous post!! ::giggles:: |

I saw Eden go on as Elphaba the other night, 4/13... poor Idina has been sick.  Eden did a great job, but I still like Idina much better. I finally found a way to put into words the difference between their performances. Idina's Elphaba is so much more fierce, more abrasive... and it all comes so naturally. As my dad put it, Idina sort of pulls the character along. Eden had the character down and was moving the plot, but didn't have the same intensity and control about her. But either way, Eden was wonderful. Especially "The Wizard and I". Half of Oz's favorite teeeaam!!!! ::sighs:: Sweet Oz, it was glorious. Go Eden! Feel better, Idina! |

I also saw Eden as Elphaba, on Wednesday night, 4/14 (I think).
Idina was back on Thursday night, which I also saw. After seeing Eden, I was extremely happy. Before, I thought that there was no one who could ever do those two roles (Glinda and Elphaba). However, seeing Eden do it made me realize I was wrong. While it's true she wasn't Idina, she played the role wonderfully. The beginning of Wiz and I, I was kinda worried, But when I heard her do that last bit- she was amazing. She really was superb. And No Good Deed- okay, this isn't supposed to be blasphemy against Idina, but I thought Eden rocked that song like I'd never heard it before! She was SCARY! I idolize Idina though, nothing meant against her. And, during For Good, Kristin got so choked up, she couldn't sing one of the last lines. It was really funny. At the end, Kristin stepped back, giving Eden a solo bow, and Norbert kept pointing to her and making thumbs up signs. I meet Eden after the show, and talked to her- I told her what I thought of No Good Deed and she laughed and put a finger to her lips. She was so sweet. So, as hard as it is to believe, when the sad day comes when Kristin and Idina leave, there will be two actresses who can fill in the role. Not replace Kristin and Idina, but fill the part.

Yay glad Idina's back. And glad to hear that Eden is awesome...it makes me much calmer about what'll happen when I go to see it. She's so young though! And so pretty! I'm jealous...Thanks for the pictures. ;D |

I saw Eden as Nessa on April 21st...she was pretty good, although I liked the original better. My friend couldnt tell the difference between the two though, llam, she's el clueless one.
