Since I live on Long Island, I can say that, thankfully, practically nobody speaks like Fran Drescher.
I think when Dee said that she meant that annoying NY/LI accent (IE. Neva instead of never.) Though I can't be sure.

LLAM...I'm from Boston, and we're notorious for cutting the R's off of our words...I'm an actress, so I've almost gotten rid of my accent, but my Algebra teacher talks constantly about "chahts" (charts) and "algeber" (algebra). It's amusing.
Neva. Yeah. It sounds like something we would say. And now I can see Idina with a Boston accent and I think I might die from laughing so hard. "The Wizahd and I!!!!!!!!!"

Llam, yes I noticed that! They definitely call Oz "Ahz". Maybe they're all from Boston? I was born there, but I lost my accent years ago, llam.

Thank the Unnamed Gods my accent is fading with my acting...one of my favorite directors is from Chicago, so she's always on us about being aware of the accent! It's miserable, it's worse when we go places and we're like, "THAT WAS WICKED!"
Back on the subject...Idina's Tony nom. Does she have the power to take it?

LLAM, today my father called me and was like, "Did you hear? Wicked got 10 Tony nominations!! And Idina and Kristin got nominated too! I think Idina should win!" It was funny. Me and my dad were actually agreeing on something! Very unusual.
So, the general point of my ramblings is that my family is very pro-Idina-winning-the-Tony. LLAM.

My dad picked me up after school and told me he saw on the news that Wicked was nominated for 10 some Tony Awards and my first question, of course, was if he saw who was nominated for best actress in a musical? And he remembered someone with a funny name, that's how I figured Idina was nominated, heh.

Today, during my spanish test, my teacher was talking quietly with another teacher while we took the test and I wasn't really listening to their conversation but then I heard, "... mumblemumble IDINA MENZEL mumblemumble." DSO! I wanted to shoot out of my chair and start talking to the teacher, but I couldn't, obviously. I think they were talking about the Tonys.

When I first heard/read, I was on my Guidance Counselor's computer and I went to the Tony site and looked at the nominations. And I was reading and I saw Cheno's name and I was like "Oh, yay for Cheno." And then I saw Dee's name and I yelled "YES!!!!!!! GO DEE!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!" Everyone looked at me like I had 3 million heads. LLAM.

i was telling all my friends about it and i think, with the exception of one, they all thought i was insane, one even said to me "why do you even care so much, its not like your in the show." i just looked at her like are you insane? llam i was like squealing when i found out

LLAM, my friends did the same thing...then one of my friends said, "God, you're acting like YOU'RE up for a Tony...wait, in a few years you can act like this." (Since she knows I want to go on to Broadway.) I was touched, really, but I think if (OHMYGODINMYWILDESTDREAMSWOULDTHISHAPPEN) I was ever nominated for a Tony I wouldn't be as excited as I am for Dee. Well, maybe. If I'm ever nominated for a Tony...*sighs* When pigs fly, maybe, since witches already do....

My friends have just gotten so used to me that they just smilied and quickly moved on maybe with a quick that's great...ooh and in a poll of who they want to win Idina has like 207 votes and Kristin (who's 2nd, dee's in the lead by the way) only has 69...go Idina!
