Ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you my dream role...haha! I'm not a musical theatre singer/actress...I was never in the plays in high school/college, etc, but I went to ALL of them and I was friends with everyone in them. They used to call me their official audience member. So I've never really had an itch to have a big role in a musical, even though I LOVE seeing them. But I always did want to be one specific character b/c I love her lines and I can sing them just like her on the CD...Mark's mom! (from RENT) lol...it started out as a joke, and now I have my friends who go to auditions in NY all the time promise me that if they ever get into the cast of RENT, they have to plead with the director to let me be Mark's mom one night! Ready for a long list? Eponine in Les Miserables Nessarose in Wicked Elphaba in Wicked (I'm sensing a trend here...) Liesel in The Sound Of Music Maureen in Rent Zaneeta in The Music Man (and I think I spelled her name wrong) Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde The Narrarator in Joseph Mary Magdalene (I THINK that's right...) in JCS Eleanor in the OLD Starmites Robin (Day By Day) in Godspell (though I already played the role once, I'd love to do it again) I think that's it....there's a ton more I can't think of at the moment..... ~~~Amy~~~

Yea, Col, you'd look so hot with your funky shirt and those moon pants. I'd pay money to see you in Rent, that's for sure. Now get your butt back to NYC next audition!
So then my dream role would be to befriend a Bway babe like you and get backstage to meet everyone. Haha. Joking, but I have so much faith in you. -gyps

When I get older I hope to be in more films, than stage shows. I will take just about any role that I think is good but my dream roles would be:
The Scarecrow-The Wizard of Oz The Cowardly Lion-The Wizard of Oz Fiyero-Wicked

Eponine in Les Miserables Maureen in RENT Velma in Chicago Glinda in WICKED
Non-musical-wise, I'd say...
Laura in Glass Menagerie Blanche in Streetcar Named Desire Maureen in The Beauty Queen of Leenane Just about EVERY Shakespearian heroine, esp. "Viola" in Twelfth Night and "Beatrice" in Much Ado About Nothing
And this has nothing to do with the stage, but if I could have been in ANY movie, I'd want to have played "Baby" in the original Dirty Dancing, bc I totally identify with her. That or Ruby in Cold Mountain. LOVE HER.

Wow, I feel like everyone's are similar to mine!
*Maureen or Mimi in Rent *Elphaba in Wicked *Eponine in Les Miserables *Mei-Lei or Linda Low in Flower Drum Song *Rizzo in Grease *Velma Kelly or Roxie Hart in Chicago *The Witch in Into the Woods *And someday, when Moulin Rouge is a musical, I wanna be Satine
See, my problems are: 1) I'm not Hispanic (which kinda rules out Mimi) 2) I'm not Asian (which definitely rules out Mei-Lei or Linda Low) 3) I'm not really that talented!

But anyway, you got a soft cuddly bear out of it, hows he doing lately?

Slumbers is fine. he's sleeping on my bed right now. And what if a monkey was president of Diff stages? Would that mean the monkey would get the lead? But back on topic...I really want to be Mimi in RENT. Just so I can fit into that outfit and dance like that. Sa

I think a monkey could very well be pres of diff stages next yr, if aaron does it In which case, the monkey WILL be the lead... (Kidding...) as for mimi, she rocks... however, she's not nearly as great as maureen. i mean "out tonight" or "over the moon"? Not too tough a choice...

I think it would be cool to have any role in a play. You know, if you are in a nameless role, you can do a lot of cool group numbers (and cool dances!).
However, since I do not act/sing/dance, my ideal role would be to play in the orchestra pit for Wicked. That would be soo cool and then I could hear the differences that the actors have in their lines. I've experienced the pit in high school and it's unbelievable how many times something funny happens onstage, especially if it's something that happened in rehersals and it's a private joke. For instance there was a part where a guy threw a rubber chicken and it hit a guy. At each performance one more person kept ducking. Hilarious!
