When I was seeing Wicked on sunday, mom and dad got a mug from the lobby and didn't tell me. They just put it with the rest of the cups and I was VERY surprised when I found it. It was a nice plan.

I'm going to see the show for my first time next friday and i keep looking at the wicked stuff in the ozdust boutique and i swear i'll probably end up leaving with a few bags. llam. it will also be my first time to the city, i just wish i had a wicked fan to hang out with before/after the show instead of just my mom who doesn't understand my love for wicked. omg, you're like me in two months....I must buy some stuff, however Wicked in coming for Toronto in March-May, so I may hold off on some things so I can buy them with Canadian currency....I have this feeling my dad, who is taking me to NYC isn't going to appreciate waiting outside for autographs...maybe I'll get him to just meet me later on in the night..lol! |

Anyone know if all the same Wicked merch that is being sold in NY will come to Toronto?!? That would be totally mag  |

I know, I'll have to see it at least twice too! once with my mom as well, then once with my best friend, who will have to drive home from Uni-she'll be in Sudbury, me in London, and then maybe once after that for good measure!!! I can't wait to find out who's going to be in the cast....hopefully someone recognizable!
I would assume it's the same merchandise....but just to be sure, I'll buy the program, DG shirt and maybe a cute mug in T.O just in case!

Anyone know if the "Emerald City" tote bag is still sold at the theater? On the website it says that it's out of stock but does that only apply to online purchasing? I really want one! Unfortunately, when I was at the show Thursday night, I didn't seen the tote bags at the Ozdust. I think they're just out of stock period.  Though, the same thing happened with the green monkeys when those were first there and now they seem pretty easy to get... so I guess you just have to wait until the novelty of a brand new item has worn off. As for me, on Thursday I bought most of what I wanted to buy: Wicked sheet music, Shiz U t-shirt (girl style) and a green monkey (who now happilly hangs on my computer). The only thing I didn't manage to locate was the Sephora Wicked makeup. But oh well. I didn't do too badly for myself in the long run... ;D |

Any tote bags that are left can be found at the OzDust Boutique website www.wickedthemusical.com That's where the tote bags and left over baseball Defy Gravity and Popular shirts can be found. The sheet music isn't going ot be available at the Gershwin for another few weeks, because the publisher is doing a HUGE first printing of the second version (conductor's score) because they were completely unprepared for the response they received for the first version (Easy Piano Vocal Selections)--their first printing sold out in a week. Just an FYI--the lobby merch cart carries all Wicked merch EXCEPT for the jewlery and Joel's photography book. Please also note that the posters are on card stock and cannot be rolled so if you're travelling and can't pack it/are worried it will get ruined, just order it from the website and it'll be sent to you all nice and neat. |

You know... I was thinking about what merchandise will go on the road with the tour. I doubt seriously that they'll carry everything that the Gershwin sells. That's a lot of stuff to drag around from city to city, unload, display, and then re-pack.
If I were to speculate, I'd figure they'll probably sell the unisex t-shirts (black with the logo on the front), the CD, the tie-in book, the 'popular' and 'defy gravity' shirts... maybe green monkey, mug, keychain, magnet?? I doubt the more specific interest stuff like the jewelry and golf balls would go on the road, though.

good... more money to spend on WICKED... not that i dont want to... but being the good jew i am... i'm procrastinating on spending all my money... i have to admit, it's hard lol...
also i found on some website there's a 'Wicked Witch of the East doorstop' thats like the ruby slipper on the striped stocking thats on the 'legs' in the movie. i dont remember the site though :/ i saw it on SOME LJ community... i know that much.. sorry bout that

I just got lots of Wicked stuff. I already had the poster, cast recording, Let Yourself Go, Here, and black shirt. I just got the gray DG shirt, the Popular shirt, the Shiz U shirt, the Elphaba earrings, the Glinda earrings, and Still I Can't Be Still. I love them all!

Actually, I saw the posters, mugs, the Defy Gravity, Popular and standard shirts, magnets and tie-in novel at a couple different theater tourist-ey shops when I was in the city a couple weeks ago. I don't remember which stores I was in exactly, (it was a loooong day) but you definately can find Wicked merchandise outside of the Gershwin. |
