I missed the last 15 minutes!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!! Luckily I know lots of nice people who taped it. But I still have to wait til tomorrow. Oh well, that's what I get for gloating that I would see it on wednesday. Anyways I got the entire line-by-line update from my hysterical family. It was freaky. I haven't seen my brother cry since our dog died when he was 11. (he's 19 now) But apparently he cried tonight. So it was the music at the end that did it, eh? There's just something about that song that gets to ya. And how weird was all the foreshadowing throughout the ep with Seth talking about Ryan changing everything in Newport? OKAY, AND WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH KIRSTEN?!? Obviously she had to 'make the decision' or there's no way she would've been talking to Teresa like that! And Sandy's reaction to when Kirsten told him about what she had discussed with Teresa? (I don't want to say too much cuz I know some of you haven't seen it) My family's idea was that Kirsten must've either questioned keeping Seth or, she possibly aborted having another baby- like maybe Jimmy's??!!!?? I dunno it's just my family's theory. But I had to do major consoling tonight. Hands down the saddest night on TV in a long time. Until tomorrow's Friends, I guess, but my family doesn't watch that so never mind. I had to keep assuring my mom that everyone's returning in the fall and no one's really gone for good, but it was still incredibly sad

Tonight was so...sad. So...unOC like. I almost cried. I don't like watching characters I've become so emotionally attached to get split up like that. Not cool, not cool. There's really no other way to describe it--it was just heartwrenching. Sad way to end season 1. Very very very sad. Loved how the last shots had the look of the pilot episode. Loved all the references to the pilot. I love when shows do that. It's fun.
Oh, and that song--"Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley--gets me every time. I have that CD and when I just need to get a cry out, I turn that song on. They used it like a season or two ago on West Wing...my mom was watching tonight's ep with me, and was all "It's that West Wing song". It was so perfect for the moment. That song is a work of tragic genius. Perfect.
To sum up tonight, it was a night befitting of the OC--full of drama and from the heart (this show is always from the heart, that's what I love about it...no matter how cheesy or corny it can get, it's from the heart).

Last nights show was amazing. Amazingly sad though. I think that Kirstin had an abortion before that Sandy doesn't know about (secrets, secrets!) Poor Seth off to Tahiti. What I want to know is that if it's a 42 day trip, where does he sleep on that little boat of his? I can understand how Seth was upset with Ryan but he totally mad the good-bye worse by just shrugging Ryan off.
Is it next season yet? The suspense is killing me already!

If you were in the ocean on a little twenty-footer, would you really want to be sleeping? I sure as heck wouldn't trust myself to fall asleep and actually stay on course! I'd probably wake up in the water with my ship crashed into the side of a cruise liner or something ;D But that's something that the OC production people don't have to worry about, I guess.

A friend just told me that since the series did so well last summer, they're planning to start season two in the summer as well! That would be totally wicked! Does anyone know of any truth to this rumor?

omg that would be so amazing!!! idk if it's tru...b/c on the fox website it says that "The OC returns this fall, That means you'll have to wait all summer to find out what happens." but it would be really really really cool if it started up again in the summer!

i hate the OC!!! i can only watch like, 5 minutes of it and then turn it off in disgust. the only good it does is allow my friends and i to laugh our pants off when we make fun of it. its basically a soap opera for rich, white, angsty kids. sorry, but that's just my opinion!
