My sister and I were having fun doing this last night, we were casting our Wicked hoi polloi in other musicals. Urinetown, for example:

Okay so I've cast this hypothetically so many times and I think we are soooo forgetting something very serious...Idina would make a perfect Witch...this is not type casting, this is good casting. I suggest that we give Eden the part of the Baker's Wife instead although Idina might make a good Baker's Wife I think she would make a better Witch. For Kristin I honestly can't decide if she would make a better Baker's Wife or Cinderella....I think Baker's Wife...I really like Michelle as Cinderella. Lol. we should sooo get them to do this!

I'm putting my vote in for Kristin as Cinderella Well... now that I'm thinking about it I'm not sure! Michelle would be brilliant too!
Okay, I like Idina as Baker's Wife because she's my favourite character (YAY Joanna Gleason- she's from the place where I live now but my only problem with Dee in the role is that we wouldn't get to hear her sing the "No One is Alone" four-parter that Cinderella, Red, Baker, and Jack sing. And let's face it- that's the best song of the whole incredible show! But as the BW she'd get to have all the funniest lines. So it's a toss-up really.

Okay how about a different musical.... (flipping through CD book... wow everything in here is already Dee and Cheno stuff... YAGMCB, Wild Party, Music Man, New Brain, Wicked, Aida, Candide, Last 5 Years... I am too obsessed )
I would love to hear Idina as Eva Peron, though. And Kristin? I think she'd be a perfect Narrator from JATATCDC.

No kidding...I was up all last night coughing and taking Triaminic (yummm...best cough medicine there is....well, not all the flavors...I like orange) But anyway, yes, I am feeling very sick and a little drugged right now too, so whatever...
But since I had Aida on the brain earlier, I shall cast the cast (haha) of Wicked in Aida. It must be noted that this is non-discriminatory casting, so even though Aida is typically played by a black actress, I have decided to ignore race and give the role to Idina. ;D

Aida - Idina Menzel (for belting and alto-ness)
Radames - Norbert (because I think he would be a great Radames)
Amneris - Kristin (just to mix things up, since Dee's been Amneris before. It would be fun to hear an opera version of My Strongest Suit...lol)
Mereb - Christopher Fitzgerald
Whats that Guys Name (I could look it up but I am too lazy), Radames' father, Zorro? Zorab? Zorba? Dont't remember - Joel Grey

OK, so maybe Aida doesn't work so well. And maybe Joel Grey should play the Pharoah. And maybe I should think ahead before I try and do this again...My apologies. Blame it on the meds.
