Ok...there is a Rent thread and an Aida thread, and right now I am really enjoying Avenue Q, so I think we should have a thread for it.
I shall start by saying: Avenue Q is awesome.
Do you have anything to add? Seen it? Heard it? Want to see or hear it? ;D

Avenue Q kicks ass! So great. I want to see it in NY so badly! I can't believe those puppeteers are actually from kids tv shows. Their singing is fantastic. If Idina and Kristin get shut out at the Tony's, my vote goes to Stephanie D'Abruzzo. She's great. What do you do with a BA in English? is like my theme song now ;D

How I love Avenue Q. My love for this show started way back last summer, when I heard them doing "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" somewhere. Just wanna say this show is genius. Seriously. I bought the cast album the day it came out, and it's the funniest thing I've ever heard. The lyrics are so clever, everything about it is so wonderful. It really is a genius show.
And John Tartaglia (or the J. Tartagmonstaaah as I like to call him) is the cutest. thing. alive. John Tartaglia is love.
I got tickets for either June 12 or 13th. I can't wait. Been obsessed with this for way too long. I love the Q so much!
Alright Maria, when are you going to post in here?

I'm sorry guys, I went to bed early. lol, but I'm glad to see I was anticipated, so I hope I won' disapoint any of you but beware now that this thread is out you all are going to have to deal with me. Okay so ever since I knew it came out it has interested me. I mean come on, the idea of pupputs being, riskay. My friend and I, for a joke, would always be, yeah let's go and see the show. For Valentine's Day we even sent a card to Stephanie D'Abruzzo (I'll get to how I lover her in 1 sec). But I didn't actually start loving until my friend Stephanie (PlanetZ10...something on here) sent me the CD because my parents don't want me to have it. So I got it...I started listening...I couldn't stop listening. But for a while I would just listen here and there. Then another one of my friends Owen started the obsession. When John Tartaglia's (he is Tartag for further reference, or J Tart) concert was playing on broadwayworld.com I sat down, watched it, sang it, laughed at it, and recordered it each time (it was on 3 times). I fell in love! I mean he has the best voice and he could sing anything and I'd love to listen to him. Okay, slightly OT, but hey, so Toy Story was on and if you heard the concert (Marisa has as has Owen) he sings the last song in Toy Story 2, which was on last night. SO it was on in the other room and and I hear it, and I start screaming because he sang that. Okay so I don't even have to say that I think he's just the hottest thing that there ever was, because hello, if any of you saw him, you'd know this. Ooh and on his resume he's like: always has a smile, liscensed driver, great with kids, can all impressions of south park characters, carol channing a plus! lol, and for the record, all of those things are correct and I recalled them from my mind. Another time I screamed for him was when he came on to present (as Rod) with Jai at the drama desk awards. I started screaming (it's kinda recorded too). I laughed when Rod felt up Jai, when they made out, when ROd said, "I'd like to thank everybody, especially John Tartaglia, who always seems to be around...for some reason". HA! So speaking of John is love if anybody wants me to I can post my John Tartaglia and Stephanie D'Abruzzo are love banners here. STEPHANIE D'ABRUZZO ROCKS THE SOCKS RIGHT OFF OF MY FEET, MAKING ME PICK THEM UP AND THEN MAKING ME GIVE HER A HUG BECAUSE SHE'S SOOO ADORABLE! lol. So basically I think she has an amazing and powerful voice and is the most adorable thing ever. WHen I'm confusified I use one of her quotes, "wha, wha". Now when people talk about the Tonys I gotta make sure that my other girl is not being "dissed" because I love her and don't want to see her being talked about badly! THE SHOW. So I love the CD. Once I listened to it for 6 days straight and converted 4 people to liking it (including Marisa, Holly, Holly's friend, and....I can't remember but there was somebody else). I so need to work at Avenue Q. Well I'm seriously cutting down my getting ready for school time, will post later...guys, was my post worth it now? Lol, sorry for the length, anybody who reads it...you get some ruv!

I've heard a lot of songs from Avenue Q on BWR. They have interesting messages and some are true, such as "Everyone's a little bit racist" and "Schadenfreude"(sp?). My mom likes the Mix one and now she thinks she might want to go see it. I might want to see it too.

I know you guys might hate me for this...but I'm personally not too fond of Avenue Q. I figured I'd try it because I liked the idea of the puppets and all, but I really didn't like it at all. I don't know why. Sorry to disappoint you all!

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion! Do not feel sorry! ElphieAtShiz....you spelled it right! Woo hoo, either that or I can't recall the song at the top of my head...either could be possible. Letty...omg I know! My only way to see it is with my parents...that will not only be hard to do (convincing them and all) but also uncomfortable. I'm thinking of saying I'm going to go see Wicked, have a friend take me down, and then we see Avenue Q instead. Lol...but somehow I don't think that's gonna happen. Ooh and when I was in the car I started singing a Dixi Chicks song...why, you might ask. Well because John sang some at his concert. I love those songs now! Do I love them because I like country or that I like the Dixi Chicks (which I don't), no! I like them because I love John and I could listen to him sing anything and love it! Ooh and so I always bring up, in almost every conversation (at least 100 times) how hot John Tartaglia is....everything is john!

I don't know why. Sorry to disappoint you all! No problem! Just like Maria said, everybody has their own opinions. Goodness knows (the wicked's lives are lonely...sorry, can't help myself ;D) a lot of people didn't like Wicked....People are different. And if naughty puppets don't float your boat, I don't think that makes you abnormal. ;D

Very cool Maria! ;D
And god do I love Avenue Q. It was my great love before Wicked. And I got to see it when I went to see Wicked in NYC. Yay for puppets!
And on a sidenote, I sent an email to John through is website. I haven't gotten a reply yet, but the website says it may take awhile, but john will eventually email you back. Has anyone else done this?
