I know this is kind of late... but I just started to really get into Avenue Q and I love it. I admit, I only started listening to the CD after it won the Tony, because I thought, "Well, if this show can beat out Wicked, then it must be pretty damn good" and that's true (although Wicked will always be my favorite). John Tartaglia's voice... dso, it makes me melt! He is so cute, and I love his voice in "What do you do with a BA in English" and "Purpose". Stephanie D'Abruzzo also has a great voice, esp. in "There's a Fine, Fine Line". And what was up with Ann Harada not getting nominated at the Tonys?!! She totally got gypped. She deserved that nomination, because she has an amazing voice, and Christmas Eve is so hilarious!!!

So I'm wondering... what's everyone's favorite lyrics in Avenue Q? It's so hard to choose, but I think the funniest one is in "Schadenfreude" when Nicky says, "Happiness at the misfortune of others... that IS German!" It's like, always on my away message. Post your thoughts! ;D

Haha! Yeah that's the right line... I love that song too! And then Christmas Eve's like, "You think your lives suck? I hearing you correctly? HA!" LOLOL!

Alrighty, Q Live rocks so incredibly much. I laughed harder than I've ever laughed in my life. And the Tartag is a bundle of energy. Everyone onstage is incredible actors and incredibly talented. It's a bundle of fun, and it's very sweet and touching. So go see Q now! It's fun fun fun, and the bad scenes aren't as bad as you'd think they'd be. And at stagedoor, the cast is so incredibly nice. I got pics and sigs from everyone except for Natalie Venetia Belcon (Gary Coleman). Really. It's a good time.

Seriously, everything in that show cracks me up. My boyfriend almost died when he heard:
"Christ, do I feel good."
"Now there was a fine, upstanding black man."
"Uh...who?"
"Jesus Christ!"
"But Gary, Jesus was white."
"No, Jesus was black."
"No, Jesus was white."
"No, I'm pretty sure Jesus was black!"

Omg... how could you not love Avenue Q? LOL! I agree with you on all those things... I also love how Christmas Eve says "driver" she says it like "livah" lol!

I know...and how she cuts off endings, like "It suck to be me" instead of "It sucks to be me". One thing I liked is that her accent never faltered, and I thought that was AMAZING!

Right and during the BCEFA time the first thing they would do would be to let her talk normally and assure the people that that wasn't the way she really talked. My friend said it was the cutest thing ever and that made him really love her.

Heyyy... looks like I'm not the only Wicked-ite who's starting to get over Wicked losing the Tony award by checking out Q. I'm doing the same thing, only, I can't seem to get my hands on a copy of the cast album... does anyone have audio files for me to listen to? Oh please oh please?

(( And just to throw my two cents in on Meghan Mulally... she would be awesome in Avenue Q... but she's still tied up with Will and Grace, isn't she? It would be kinda tricky to do a show on the great white way eight times a week AND a TV show))
