I'm an even bigger Sarah Brightman fan, and frankly, I didn't think Emmy Rossum had a leg to stand on trying to step into that diva's shoes. I mean, it's Sarah Brightman, for Oz sakes! OMG! The next time we chat, it shall be devoted to Sarah Brightman.... Olivia<---LOVES SB and went to her concert this year, totally blown away |

I get goosebumps just thinking about that chandelier crashing down. God, I love that show so much. I *might* consider seeing the film. Oh come on....You know you'll see it! ;P Once they start showing the trailers in movie theaters and on TV, I bet that none of us will be able to resist. OMG! The next time we chat, it shall be devoted to Sarah Brightman.... Olivia<---LOVES SB and went to her concert this year, totally blown away NO WAY!!!!! I went too  The day after I got back from NY I went. Soooooo fantastic. I've loved SB since I was eight. Definitely we'll have to chat about SB. Cuz she's just the best Christine EVAH!! (oh yeah I rounded my post back on topic!!) |

the only thing that sucked about her concert was that she didn't sing Mysterious Ways....damnit it! oh well...I flipped out during the Phantom music....go Phantom!

the only thing that sucked about her concert was that she didn't sing Mysterious Ways....damnit it! oh well...I flipped out during the Phantom music....go Phantom! Her Phantom concert music is kinda strange. I like the original Phantom and she changes all the notes for her concerts :S Her performances on the ALW 50th birthday DVD (or the black one as it's called in my house) are a mixed bag. I HATE her Music of the Night, because she sings it in her wavy voice. I don't mind POTO with Banderas because I like to see that she can still hit that damn high note at the end!! And I adore All I Ask of You just because Michael Ball has the sexiest voice ever, but I don't nessecarily like SB's wispy voice in that one either-- luckily the wispy voice isn't as bad in that one as in Music otn. And their harmonies are freakin amazing. Almost nothing can top a Michael Ball/SB harmony. But even better than the ALW birthday DVD is a much lesser known one-- the Beijing concert (or the red one in my house). The POTO on that one BLOWS but the Wishing is absolutely fantastic. And the AIAOY is... wow. Just... wow. You have to remember that the people who sing them are NOT professional headliners. It's a dance troupe they recruited from Sydney who had three weeks to prepare. These people are dancers, and they're just... breathtaking. Anyone else seen it? Oh look this crazy rant was actually Phantom related!! mua hah hah!!! |

I love seeing her sing Phantom stuff...
I liked Music of the Night, I love the song, so lovely...I thought she did a good job, not her best, but still good...!

in my summer typing class, my teacher always played SB music for us and everyone would get scared..LOL except for me.
I really hope Emmy Rossum is good. I hated her and thought she was gona be awful but after seeing her in "Day After Tomorrow" I looove her!! She is such a good actress i hope shes as good at singing!

i read a biography of emmy rossum, and she's a professional opera singer. She's performed at the Met ever since she was 7...wow.

I think the movie looks really good...I'm so excited for it! And I'm a huge Phantom fan, so it BETTER BE GOOD! Emmy Rossum looks kind of like someone I know...but you have to keep in mind, why Sarah Brightman was such a great Christine...the part was written for her by then-husband, Andrew Lloyd Webber. So if Emmy isn't great, I'll be like, "That's okay. She didn't have the part written for her, now did she?"

Hmm. I saw this on tour when it came here. Can't say I'm a huge fan of Lloyd Webber or Sarah Brightman - I did see her in concert once but that was in 1996 or something - I don't usually listen to LW stuff but I did enjoy the production on stage  |
