As most of you know, Norbert Leo Butz is leaving Wicked on July 18th with a new job ahead: the role of Freddy Benson in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which will first preview in San Diego before opening in the Imperial Theatre on Broadway on March 17th, 2005. I've been a HUGE Joanna Gleason fan since I saw her as what I think was the best Baker's Wife ever in Into the Woods (with Bernadette Peters!). And Norbs and Sherie onstage again? YAY! The Last Five Years is an awesome show and they have such good chemistry, so I hope that they get to work together onstage. And John Lithgow is an extremely multitalented actor. It's nice to know that Norbs isn't leaving Wicked and doing something that isn't up to his full talent potential...this is going to be an excellent show! |

I cannot wait for this show! I'm definitely going to check it out in previews in NY. Norbert and Sherie on the same stage again; that will be awesome.

I definitely want to see that... at the stage door on Saturday, my friend told Norbert that she'll miss him and Norbert said, "Well you should all come check out my new show" and I was like, "Yeah Dirty Rotten Scoundrels!" And he smiled and looked a little surprised that someone knew the name of it lol. Yay for Norbert... I'm going to miss him tons in Wicked  |

This is the one cool part about living in California: I'm within driving proximity to San Diego. Granted, it will take about 10 hours to drive down to San Diego from Sacramento, but Norbert is so worth it. My friend and I are planning a "ButzFest 04" Road trip to try and see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in San Diego. That is, if the parentals agree and if we can get tickets. It's a far off dream right now, but it may just happen. My friend's mom is a big Norbs fan, so we're working on getting her to take us right now.

I loooove Joanna Gleason... I like worshipped her in ITW and I'm so glad she's doing theatre again! YAY! Not to mention in a show that also has Norbert... YAY!
if it's going to be at the Imperial does that mean BFO will definitely be closing soon?

isnt this a movie also?? I dont remember much about it but I remember Steve Martin was in it and he was like acting retarted in one part and he was like "OHKLAHOMA OKLAHOMA!!" and then he like tackled this lady and it was soo funny!! Is this the same thing??

wow that show sounds amazing! i mean, norbie, joanna gleason, sherie renee scott, and john lithgow? the cast is incredible! i cant wait for it to open!

In regards to the BFO question: BFO is closing on September 12th.

AAAAHHH!! How did I miss this before?!? I guess cuz I saw the topic and just thought it was a discussion about some kind of gangsta movie or something (it IS a movie, right?? oh yeah the article says it is... dopey me! Oh I thought it was a gangster kill-y movie!) Norbert, Sherie Rene Scott, AND JOANNA GLEASON!!!! OMG that ROCKS!!! Sherie is one of my fav singers and DSO Joanna Gleason is totally awesome! She's from Winnipeg where I live! Ahhhhhh!! Oh crap now I sound like a Winnipegger. Sh*t. Okay totally can't wait for this to come out now. And if it IS a movie, I'll have to check it out so I know the story ahead of time  Edit: Ouch I was talking to my Mom about this movie this morning and mentioning how I have to see it and then she says "umm, we have that movie. It's downstairs. It's like the funniest movie EVER." So yeah, totally watching it tonight. |
