I'd think coming out of the floor would send anyone into a crazy adrenaline rush- it's no wonder that line is so powerful! Sometimes, when I'm bored, tired, pissed off or annoyed with the school's musical production, I close my eyes and pretend im standing in that trapdoor, under the Gershwin stage, and then I start going up, sing the "Fiyeroooo" thing (IN my head, of course) and then I'm done. Hehe...I'm such a dork, but it's the closest I'll ever be. -gyps

Oh! Remembered another...
Elphie's cackle!!!!
Not really a line...but it made the show for me! I nearly fell out of my seat. So did my mom. We just looked at each other like "oh crap..." Of course, that night the audience was filled with Philadelphians and you know the claws came out along with the "oooohhh girl, she's stole your man" comments or as my sister mumbled "she came at her neck!" llam...my vote for the best line/best moment of the show, definately...

I love the cat fight! Especially when Kristin grabs Idina's witch hat and starts hitting her over the head with it. I don't know why, it just makes me giggle ;D . Oh and when Glinda says, "Let me go, I almost had her!" and Elphie replies, "HA!" really loud. Oh, another line! Galinda: And Elphie- can I call you Elphie? Elphaba: It's a little perky..... Galinda: :::all shy-like::: And you can call me...Galinda!

As long as people are going to call you a lunatic anyway, why not get the benefit of it?

I forgot about the beating with the hat too...
I had to stop and think real hard for a second like "maybe that was only in SF" but then I remembered that Glinda throws the hat back to her...*bsww*
Still a great scene!

My favorites are: "Not all of us can come and go by bubble" "Stupid little brat. Takes a dead woman's shoes! Must've been raised in a barn!" "I know you don't want to hear this but somebody has to say it! You are out of control! I mean, come on, they're just shoes. Let it go!" Ummm...I'm pretty sure I have a TON more but I can't think of them right now!

"It's absurd. This silly rich boy shows up and everyone goes off to worship him at some cult-ish social gathering." Whenever I hear that, I always get this silly mental image of a KKK-like group dancing around, burning little green voodoo dolls and making mean, racist posters. -gyps

"Maybe the pronunciation of your precious name is not the soul purpose of Dr. Dillamond's existence!"
