Wicked Make-up Line

Those longing to help bring out their inner Glindas or Elphabas will get a little help next month thanks to a new Wicked-inspired cosmetics line.

Jeanine Lobell has created two Wicked collections that will be sold exclusively at Sephora cosmetics. Wicked's Idina Menzel (Elphaba) and Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda) will be on hand for the launch of the new cosmetics line May 21 at Sephora Times Square. The co-stars are expected to join the festivities from 2-4 PM.

The limited edition make-up line includes the Glinda Look ? "all over crystals in pink, lip color in Glinda, lip gloss in pink shine, eye shadow in heather, smudgepots in black and convertible color in petunia" ? and the Elphaba Look: "all over crystals in green, lip color in Elphaba, lip gloss in peach shine, eye shadow in moonlight, smudge pots in emerald and convertible color in gladiola."

Directed by Joe Mantello ? a 2003 Tony Award winner for Take Me Out ? Wicked boasts a score by Stephen Schwartz, a book by Winnie Holzman and choreography by Wayne Cilento. The creative team includes Eugene Lee (set design), Susan Hilferty (costume design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design), Tony Meola (sound design), Stephen Oremus (musical director), William David Brohn (orchestrations) and Jim Abbott (dance arrangements).

No, I think they mean the launch and the meet and greet with Idina and Kristin is only the one day. But they are 'limited time offer', so the Verdi girls should stock up while we can! Alls I can say is they'd better still be selling them the 15th of July!!

Do you think they will only be selling the Wicked line in NYC or also in other stores around the country? I hope so. Do you think you could order it over the phone or interent? Hmmmm, must check into this.

Yeah, I was so excited when I read that. I'll definitely try to get into Manhattan. Hm...if I leave when I can leave school I'll get there at 12:30...enough time? Maybe. But I'll definitely be buying the make-up.

DSO! That's awesome! Is it going to be sold just in NYC or around the country? If it's just NYC, they better still have it in June.

Most of the colors listed are already sold there. Check out the Sephora webpage... the "Stila" line, I think. So I'm guessing you'll be able to get most everything in the other stores. It looks like the only new things are the lipstick shades - Elphaba and Glinda. Also, I didn't find the all-over crystals on the site, but there were all-over shimmer products...

Score....that's the day of the daytime Emmys. I may be there at 2, but I have to get ready for the show. But that would be pretty schnazzy.

From what I understand, the make-up will be STILA and NOT MAC; STILA is the brand Kristin uses during the show, although she is the only person to use Stila; everyone else uses MAC. I actually have a pot of the face/eye shimmer she uses, and it is very pretty (even if it does get in your eyes from time-to-time...)

And yes, I will be at the launch.
