I just read that all Broadway shows are taped and are kept in a library in New York. My question is why they're rarely released to the public? Is it a copywright issue or somthing? I can understand the videos not being released while the show is still playing, but what would be the harm in releasing them after the show has closed? Just a curosity. As a side note I see Wicked in a week. Hurrah!
Side note: I didn't want to start a new thread to ask this so I'm editing it into here: How does this "keeper" thing work? I think I remember there was a post for it before but I can't find it now. Thanks!

Yes, there is a place in the city where you can see the videos. I think they are available for private viewing, and they may only be availble if you know someone who works there. But, yeah there are definately videos at some library in the city!
