I'm a mezzo, which is fine...although most people, in my chorus at least, want to be able to nail those high notes, and I'm the only one left singing that mezzo part which I know is just as important as the main melody. That, and if I went up to a C above high C I'd screech like heck. *sigh*

I'm a soprano. Usually my range is from a low E or F to a D above high C, and on a good day I can go up to two E's above high C.

I have a strong mezzo range, but I sing high soprano at school, because there aren't that many. The hardest thing about being a soprano one is that my choral teacher never warms us up; I'm really surprised that we won the highest award at the music festival we went to Friday; we had high A's that we never warm up to. -_- Meh.

I usually just sing counter tenor, but I'm one of those freaks who can sing any part. Usually I just do counter tenor and soprano, though.

I'm a soprano and on some days a high soprano but I cannot do alto very well at all. My head voice is so much stronger than my chest voice it's reaaly wierd.

I'm an alto, but I can't go down all the way, and can go up into the soprano range a bit...

i'm a high soprano, and an alot... i have just over 4 octaves in my range... which is preety sweet, but my tamber (tone quality) is a soprano tamber..... so I'm a soprano... Its amasing... but the hardest part about being a soprano is that at auditions and things there are soooooooo many sopranos. The compotition is just so much greater that we have to be even more prepared

I have no clue what I am, didn't vote, but whatever, I can't hit very high notes, kind of high, but not really low, in between the two. Wow, I'm even confusing myself here.

I'm kind of surprised at the results here. Normally, altos outweigh everyone.
I actually wish I was an alto, because you have to learn a lot more - sopranos are almost always given the melody or a very simple harmony, even if it is high. Most of my friends are altos, and I wish I could learn harmonies like that; along with bass it's the cornerstone, vocally, of most musical ensembles.
Wow...I sound like my Mum...I have officially scared myself.

I'm kind of surprised at the results here. Normally, altos outweigh everyone. Really? In our choir, there were so many sopranos that the choir teacher had to force three-quarters of the mezzos (because we were really only an SAB choir and rarely divided the sopranos into mezzo and 1st sopranos) to become altos. And as for harmonies, us mezzos have difficult harmonies as well, especially since so many of us are tempted to sing the higher melodies with the regular sopranos (*cough Popularity cough*). Speaking of which... Imperfectly..... You are sooooo soprano too..... Come on, remember last year in Little Shop. Do you remember that note?! The thing about that note--I could only sing it when you sang it, Haley. And even then it was super high and squeaky coming from me. Remember "so is life?" (*sings* Do you know who I am? Do I know who you are? See we one another clearly, do we know who we are?) Your note, the high high B flat, is not really in my range anymore. I was mezzo for that note, remember? Plus, if I was really your voice part, who would do the alto-ish parts in your duets? *sings again* Take my hand, and lead me to sal-va-a-tioooooooooooooon. Sorry, guys. I tend to go off on tangents sometimes...
