"The Wizard and I", " Defying Gravity", and "For Good" are my favorite songs. And, of course, "As Long As You're Mine". I just sang "The Wizard and I" for a musical audition, and everyone was telling me how great I was, and I was just thinking, "Wow. I LOVE THAT SONG." Especially since I'm not very talented, but somehow I still made it sound good.
Really, any song with Idina in it is my favorite. "For Good" makes me cry, too! I'll be sitting in my room singing it and my voice will get all wobbly because I'm tearing...I'm such a sap! "As Long As You're Mine" is the song I always sing to my boyfriend, because we had a very Elphie/Yero relationship before we finally got together (you know, the girl likes the guy, but the guy likes another much prettier, but more shallow girl)...and it's just a beautiful song, and it makes me happy to hear that Elphie and Yero were together!!! SCORE FOR THE WICKED ONES!!! " Defying Gravity" is just an amazing piece, with Idina's belting, that even on the recording gives you chills. If I ever have half her talent I will die a happy girl.
Sorry for the minni-rant, everyone. I just love all those songs so much!

I love "I'm Not That Girl" and "For Good"... they both made me cry! Especially "For Good" bc it reminds me of my best friend, we've been through really hard times together, sometimes we hated each other, and now it's like that's all behind us so the song def touched me.

It depends on my mood. I love all of them. "What Is This Feeling" is great.

My favorite song is Dancing Through Life...I love the beat, it's so catchy! And it's sort of cheesey at times, which is why I love it. And I love the Nessa/Boq story line, so that's a plus. Also a lot of the main characters are included... ah, it's just a fun song.

The real question is... Which one ISN'T my favorite! I really love them all, but since I had to choose from what was on the poll, I picked 'No Good deed'. It was between that and As long as you're mine... Oh good times!

I am so glad someone revived this thread, cause I had never noticed it before. My favorite is Defying Gravity, but I love The Wizard and I and Dancing Through Life. I have found that most of the people I introduce to Wicked like Popular the best, but eventually grow to love them all. Oooh...all such goood songs. *Runs to get CD*

When I first heard all the Wicked songs, my favorite was Popular. But then you grow to love all the songs, and they are really all my favorite. The only one that isn't the greatest is "March of the Witch Hunters". It just doesn't do much for me, but I always fine myself singing it for some reason.

"Go, and hunt her, and find her, and kill her..." - not something I want to be singing to myself. But catchy...

LLAM, I like that song on the cast recording but live....sweet Oz it scares the bejeebus out of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it's just something about people waving around pitchforks and other assorted sharp objects (and that loud bang they make during the one part). ~~~Amy~~~

Try seeing it from up close where you can actually see the torture devices and murder weapons they're carrying. Scary. Very scary. They really hate Elphaba.

No Good Deed is by far my favorite, probably because of all the passion that Idina sings it with. It just is a very pivotal moment for Elphaba and she really lets us see and hear that. The fact that it's vocally amazing helps too. Of course I also love For Good, Popular, As Long As You're Mine, The Wizard and I, and Defying Gravity...lol the list goes on....

I think the only song I can complain about is "Sentimental Man". I dunno, it just doesn't get to me as much as any of the other songs. It's just there. I completely understand it has to be there *SPOILER* to foreshadow the whole "who always longed to be a father" thing but it's so drab. It just doesn't suit me well.

I agree with that. "A Sentimental Man" isn't one of my sentimental favorites. When I put the whole Wicked CD on my Mp3 player, I left that song out. But I felt bad after and put it on the player and was like "Oh, I'm sorry Joel! Please forgive me." My life seems sad at times llam.

It's just I dont like the song, its kinda short and couldn't he have just said, I am a sentimental man who always longed to be a father?Get right to the point of things!lol.I love that Joel Grey though... -Colleen
