I can't believe I didn't see the update before. *hits self on head* As always, very good. Lots of good description. But I think it was very confusing with the seperations. I got lost a lot trying to sort out whose thoughts were whose. Or maybe it's just because it's been awhile since I've read the story. I don't know, but there's my thoughts.

I thought you'd go looking for it, stars. I just knew it. "For once she could disengage from the pain that was almost a constant in her life." Not quite a direct quote, but What You Own: For once I didn't disengage!"

Hey guys! We've decided that sense our latest chapters have been so, well, dark-- we might lighten your mood a little with a funny one shot we prepared. The Ozma (a WoB online magainze) was auditioning writers, and we decided what the heck? Why not give it a shot. We were accepted, and now we would like to share our piece with you.
Also, we are starting a new fan fiction based on Star Wars. It has no name yet, but will be the diary of Dorme', Padme's handmaiden. Just thought to post in case any of you guys are fellow Star Wars fans.
Without further chatter, I give you. . . . .
"The Adventures of Gigi and Dee"
Written by galindafiedgirl215 and dancingelphie
In the furthest reaches of the Great Kells lies a hundred year old castle known as Kiamo Ko. The home of the Winkie's monarchy, this castle has quite a wonderful and rich history behind it. To take a look at the palace, we sent our crack team of reporters, Dee and Gigi to investigate it.
The opinions expressed in this article are not necessarily that of its publishers. In other words, PLEASE DON'T SUE US FOR THEIR CRAZYNESS! IT'S THEIRS, NOT OURS!
*******************************************
I swear to Oz, if I had known we had to walk the last three miles to the castle I wouldn't have worn heels! But seeing as I didn't, here I am in my best pink dress, my nicest shoes, walking on dirt! Do you know what this could do to my pedicure? Of course my cousin, Dee is completely happy in her minimalist make up, comfortable but not fashionable outfit, and flats. But most of all I am nervous about this interview. I mean, Grant worked for two months to get it set up! If we let him down . . . oh gosh it could get ugly . . . I reach into my purse to make sure we have the directions right. "Do you have to write everything in pink pen?" Dee asks me. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I do," I reply. Of course we both just laugh. We always tease each other. Actually, GIGI IS obsessive about her pink. Why she, as the tall one, must wear heels everywhere she goes I'll never know. As we arrive at the ancient castle, I knock on the wooden gate. It has beautiful Gothic architecture that is simply breathtaking. Excuse me?? Beautiful is hardly the word I would use. I have to question why Fiyero (can we say total hottie? Total Hottie!) and Elphaba would want to set up house here. Its so . . . gray and drab. And I mean there are no pretty flowers, and SWEET OZMA'S NAME! NO PINK! Plus it’s so far out from civilization. I couldn't survive here. Of course if Fiyero was here with me, then it might be a different story . . . Suddenly the gate swings open, and who should be pushing it open but Fiyero himself! Even as a scarecrow he is as fine as sin! Oh, what I wouldn't give to be Elphaba! "Welcome, guys! I'm afraid I don't know your names," he says as he walks over to us. I must be staring; cause Dee pokes me in the back and hisses, "Quit! You look like a fool!" "Hello! Thank you for the invite to your home, and what a beautiful place it is. I am Dee, and this is Gigi," I said with a small curtsy to the Winkie prince. I think GG is quite capable of introducing herself, however, she's too busy ogling her Fiyero. *groan* "Fiyero, its such a PLEASURE to meet you! You are so much more handsome in pictures than in person. No I mean in person than in pictures!" I say, embarrassingly stumbling over my words, not ceasing shaking his hand until he finally pulls it away. Dang, he can ever make straw look sexy! She's so enthralled with him, she can't even write in a proper sentence structure. As we enter the castle, we see a flash of black and green descend a corkscrew stair that seems to lead to a beautiful tower that pricks the sky. "Welcome to our home," our hostess, Elphaba, says as she quickly dashes into the room that seems to serve as a living area. Fiyero looked at Elphaba weirdifidly. Dee says its was because he was desperate to get away from me, but I am sure it was just because he didn't want his wife coming down and seeing how enthralled with me he was! At any rate, Dee began to talk with Elphaba (who put her arm through Fiyero's, lucky thing) about how the tour would work. "Dear, how about you take this young gir,l um... Oh, I didn't catch your names," Miss Elphaba said. "I'm Dee, and this is Gigi.” "Oh yes, Fiyero, please take Miss Gigi on a tour of one half of the castle. I'll take Miss Dee." Oh sweet Oz, what luck I have! I get to go with Fiyero! And all by myself too! Oh, how romantic . . . The look on Fiyero's face seemed to scream, "Do I have to?" I understood, after all, it looked like Gigi would lunge at him any minute. However, he put a facial _expression on to try and fake appeasement, and said, "Oh, I'd be happy too!" Before he left however, he mad sure to catch Elphaba in a kiss. However, this wasn't just a quick peck on the cheek. It seemed to be a passionate thing, but then I quickly made a fake cough, and the two separated. Fiyero looked at Gigi with an _expression on his face that seemed to scream "I'm hers, not yours!" I snickered, and said, "Shall we get on with the tour?" 0 WHY UNNAMED GOD COULDN'T I HAVE BEEN GREEN?!!?! As Fiyero and the lovesick puppy to the right, Elphaba and myself headed up the corkscrew stair. At the top, a room filled with papers, assorted old and worn books, and strange bottles, as an odd, yet pleasing, aroma of worn leather, a musty smell I couldn't identify, and old paper filled my nose. "This is my workroom. You're free to look around," Elphaba said as she gestured the tower room in front of us. A small desk made of old quaxworth wood and a matching chair sat in the corner, where a large book with strange writing sat open. "Can I touch it?" I whispered as my arm reached towards the strange book. "No!" she quickly said as she rushed to pick up the book. "This is a very, very powerful book. Please, don't touch it." As my face fell slightly, I looked around at the rest of the room. Aside from a few shelves with the various bottles atop them, it was a sparse space. The only other thing to decorate the room was a small green glass lens that hung from a rafter. A large, cathedral style window was on one side of the room. I walked towards it, and looked at the beautiful view from the height of the Great Kells and the tower. "This is a lovely view." “Yes, it is. I especially like it when the sun pours in from the sunset," Elphaba said as a small grin crossed her face. The grin seemed to convey a thought of a happy memory, and I didn't probe any deeper. "Shall we continue our tour?" she asked, her voice seeming a bit flustered and a small blush coming up her emerald cheeks. Well as that little scene went on with Dee, I was having a fantasticafied time with Fiyero. The first room we came into was the kitchen. It was done in marble, with green compliments here and there. There was also a fresh batch of cookies made. "So, as you can tell, this is the kitchen," Fiyero said. "I don’t' do a lot of work in here, do to the fact that with an oven and all, there’s that risk I could catch flame," said he, laughingly. He had such a cute laugh! On one wall, I noticed a painting that looked oddly familiar. Suddenly it clicked. "That's Shiz University!" I said, curious as why they would have a painting of a college hanging in their kitchen. "That's where she and I met," he said smiling. I hate the kitchen now. "Lets go see another room!" I say as I ESCORT (Dee says dragged, but I mean, how would she know?) him out the door. There are overstuffed couches done in rich red fabrics, rugs that are a deep shade of purple, and a tapestry hanging from the wall depicting the 'melting' of the Wicked Witch of the West. Flanking either side of the window were sets of bows and guns. "This is our living room," my tour guide says with a sweeping hand. "As you can see, we have my hunting collection over here-" "They look so heavy! But I'm sure they are no problem at all for a big, strong guy like you . . ." “And over here," he continues; he must not have heard me. "We have a gag gift Glinda sent us for Lurilinemas. As you can probably tell, it shows my wife’s melting. I still can't believe they bought that one!" I just smile my sweetest and bat my eyelashes. "Let's go the green house," he says, walking quickly for some reason. Its almost like he wants to lose me . . . nah! Couldn't be! The greenhouse would have been pleasant, except my heel got stuck in the mud. This turned out to be VERY convenient, because Fiyero had to lift me out of it (for some reason I just couldn’t get myself free . . . hehe). Then we went to the dining room, where I accidentally tripped on the rug and luckily fell into his arms. Yet none of it seemed to be working! I mean, why wouldn't he like me? I could learn to fly a broom and save Animals! How hard could it be? As Elphaba and I continued our tour of the castle, I found a beautiful place, full of windows, sun, and beautiful decor. Despite the first impression it gave as a dreary place only made of stone, I found that you couldn’t always tell a castle by it's exterior. Tapestries, rich rugs, flowers, rich wood, and other accessories decorated the castle. It's decor only accented it's already beautiful architecture, which didn't need much help in it's own right. "You're a wonderful decorator, Miss Elphaba," I commented as I examined one painting on the wall. “Oh, I'm not good at all with decoration, just ask Fiyero or Glinda," she said with a laugh. "This was all done by Fiyero's family. But it is quite beautiful." From all the comments on the decor and decoration, we had formed a bit of camaraderie, and I discovered the former "Wicked Witch" to be a lovely woman, who was quite kind and friendly. "Speaking of the decor, would you like to look at some of the carvings on the gate? They're quite beautiful, and that would be a nice piece in your article." "Why not?" I said as she led me through the confusing corridors down the front gate where we had entered. Only there we were to find a certain Gigi flirting with a certain scarecrow. Dee and Elphaba have really bad timing. Just when I thought he was starting to fall for me too! But no, here they come, and. . . . As Elphaba and I walked down the hallway, I spotted a certain tall brunette with a scarecrow. Gigi seemed to be scared of something. As we approached, a very, VERY odd scene unfolded. "Sweet Oz!" Gigi screamed as she ran from something. "Fiyero save me! Save me!" "What's wrong now?" he said with a groan. Obviously, something similar had happened during their tour of the castle. "It's a rabid mouse! The mouse wants to kill me! It's giant, it's huge! Get it away from me!" she said as she ran from the mouse that was nowhere to be seen. On her rampage, she ran straight into the scarecrow, and quickly wrapped her arms around him. I could almost here Elphaba's teeth gritting. Yet, a smile spread across her face, and I watched in amazement as Gigi floated into the air! This was going to be interesting, I could already tell. "Why, Miss Gigi! I am so sorry!" she said with false sincerity. I should have run when I had the chance. “Just get me down! Please I won't go near him again just get me down!" Gigi was kicking and flailing, but not going anywhere. "Funny, I can’t remember the spell to put you down right away. But as soon as you want to leave, I will get right on it," Elphaba said, as Fiyero put his arms around her waist with a smile. "Um, how am I supposed to get her home?" I asked. "Oh, I just remembered it!" Elphaba exclaimed. The invisible grip ended on Gigi, and she fell to the ground with a giant plop. Two hours later, we were boarding our train. "Well, this will make a nice article," I commented to Gigi as we sat in our seats, waiting for the train to depart. I quickly looked over the notes I had taken for the article about the castle. "Gigi... where are your notes?" "Well, um, I didn't take any," I said blushing. I mean come on ladies, could you take notes around Fiyero? "Great. I guess I'll have to write the article by myself then. Hope you like living on bread crumbs," I commented, since I knew Gigi wouldn't ever get paid for this article. "Well, I can just write from memory. And I mean I did learn a valuable lesson from this." "What?" I said with a raised eyebrow. I knew we would never get the article done exactly as Grant had asked. After all, I was the only one looking at the castle, not a scarecrow! "You never lay your hands on a seemingly wicked witch’s man!"
