I'm sorry. I had seen it on WickedonBroadway and I never knew that you didn't want people to use it. I kinda assumed anything on there was fair game. So...the picture of the girls (when they're still) is from wickedonbroadway.net, and then the bubble is your's and Elphie flying is mine. Just so everyone's clear. I didn't want to offend anybody. If it's that big of deal, maybe I'll just change the bubble, that way I'll only be using the wickedonbroadway one, because I don't think that person would care, considering they liked your's.

The Glinda bubble/Elphie flying one is mine. Originally I had Elphie melting though and I get really mad when I see people using it, esp. when they give credit to wickedonbroadway because they were never given permission to use it to begin with. I'm sorry if I'm snappy about this but it took FOREVER to make - especially the bubble. If you must use it, I ask that you give credit to me as well as her, for it's half mine. I'm sorry if anyone is offended by this. Ricky from wickedonbroadway made the original one. So now I made my own, totally off of his:  I just wanted to point out once again was never completely "your's" and that while you were upset at me for not crediting you ( sorry that I didn't know your name) you never bothered to credit him. So while you were mad at me, and Ricky (for posting yours) you never credited the person who made the thing in the first place. Anyone can take my icon. Have fun with it, change it, whatever...I think that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. |

I'm taking it - can't wait to use it. It's adorable. BTW: Imitation is definitely the sincerest form of flattery. I love it when I see icons/anything else I've made somewhere - if somebody liked it enough to take it and use it, it makes me happy. ;D The way I figure, crediting me for an icon I made doesn't really matter because I probably used characters created by someone else, a font created by someone else, and, possibly, pictures taken by someone else. So, if anyone should be credited, it's definitely not me.  |

I agree. And plus, if you didn't want anyone to take it or modify it, you should never put it out on the internet. And plus, Drew, I saw that icon somewhere that claimed it was theirs and not to take it.

My philosophy (if you can call it that) is that I just like making icons, period. If someone likes it enough to use it, I'm thrilled.
Besides, what annoys me about Prince Fiyero's post is this: The guy from wickedonbroadway.net had made a still icon, then Prince Fiyero animates it, and then I changed the animation to suit me. But he made it sound like he did all the work, by saying that it was "his" icon, and implying that I stole it from him. I never claimed it was completely mine, I said that I based it off of his. I know he spent a long time on the bubble, I had put my own effort into it, and that was disregarded.
Oh well. I suppose we're getting off topic here.
I'll have some new icons to post later tonight.
PS....
To be more off-topic...
The e-mail notification for this thread keeps going to my junk mail folder, but other Verdigris ones go into my inbox. Any ideas why?

Okay first of all, I'm very, very, very sorry. I think I'm going to stop posting on forums altogether for a little while because I end up snapping off and saying stupid things because my life is a total wreck like now. I know that may sound like a lame excuse to get out of what I said and that I'm asking for pity for myself but I'm definitely not and I don't care if anyone says anything about it. I didn't mean to accuse you of not crediting me - wickedonbroadway.net never gave me credit and that's what truly angered me. I don't mind people using the icon provided they give me proper credit (and no, I don't count "somebody animated this" as credit). I knew fully well that he made the icon and while typing my post I thought that I had said somewhere in the post that he made the original still icon - either that or I went back to spell check and planned to move the sentence to a different place, deleted it, and then forgot to paste it back in the different spot. Once again I'm very sorry about this, my wrecked life has been controlling my sour tongue recently. Sorry for being off-topic but I felt this was very neccessary. Back on topic, and I don't mind if everyone chooses to ignore this because apparently I'm getting myself to the point where I'm hated on here (as I've ended up doing on a couple other message boards as well), but here's my current LJ icon:  |

Two layers - the bottom is the big picture, the top is the smaller one. The top layer has the transparency taken down to 42.

MjrWickedFan: Of course you can use it! anyone can use these, i don't care, I love when ppl use them!
For LJ to credit someone, you put that person's LJ name as the Keyword when your on the "customize photos" page. but i'm not picky on credit, so it's not a big deal. But i think that the last icon is too big for LJ, because they have to be under 40 KB. I could make a scaled down version of that, if you want.
