The only picture in it that you don't really see a lot of is the curtain close-up of the Emerald City glowing green. All the other ones you can find anywhere else.

<3 the soundtrack - the new edition book has some pretty cool piccies in it. Especially of Nessarose and other such characters too...

ok i dont know if its just my computer but when i clicked on the amazon. come link it came up and the book cover was the normal wicked poster with elphaba green, g(a)linda normal. BUt then i clicked on the "look inside" thing and the cover was like purple and white. Elphaba was purple and white and G(a)linda was a drak greeny color and black. did it do this for anyone else? and if it did is that what the book looks like??

In Maguire's Oz, Elphaba, better known as the Wicked Witch of the West, is not wicked; nor is she a formally schooled witch. Using an appropriately brusque voice for the always blunt Elphaba, McDonough relates her tumultuous childhood (spent with an alcoholic mother and a minister father) and eye-opening school years (when she befriends her roommate, Glinda). McDonough's pacing remains frustratingly slow even after the plot picks up, and Elphaba's protracted ruminations on the nature of evil will have some listeners longing for an abridgement. Still, McDonough's excellent portrayals of Elphaba's outspoken, gravel-voiced nanny and Glinda's snobbish friends make this excursion to Oz worthwhile.

Lol, actually I remember reading that and going "What in the world? McDonough isn't the author!" And then I realized it was for the audio recording of it. I'm still thinking about buying the Book on CD. Does anyone have it? Also, I wish instead of just having one person read the whole thing, they should have an actor or actress for every character. I'd enjoy audio recordings much more. It's makes it more fun.
