When you all saw the show, do any moments just give you shivers, or make you cry, or make you want to scream 'WTF are you doing?!' During " Defying Gravity", the way Carole Shelley says 'This, wicked witch!' the way she says 'wicked' gave me chills. When Glinda tells Elphie not to be afraid and Elphie responds 'I'm not afraid. It's the Wizard who should be afraid of me.' and the first few notes of DG start, I was just totally entranced. Not to mention during "Thank Goodness" I was biting my lip to hold back the tears, and they almost came out when Glinda's talking to Fiyero: Glinda: Who could resist this? Fiyero: You know who could. And who has. Not exactly sure that's accurate, but the point is, 'Aww!' And of course during "For Good" I had to get out a tissue. What sane person wouldn't?  Any moments from y'all? |

Oh. My. God. When Idina backs up toward center stage for the end of W&I I freak out every time because I know what's coming. The woman deserves a Tony just for the end of that number!
The dance in DTL gets me every time.
And my favorite line: "Now you wait just a clock tick. I know it may be hard for that blissful blonde brain of yours to comprehend that someone like him could actually choose someone like me, but it's happened. It's real. You can wave that ridiculous wand all you want, you can't change it! He never belonged to you, he doesn't love you, he never did, he loves me!" Because it is such a great moment for Elphaba.
I spend all of NGD just staring in awe.

* I knew every secret in the show before I saw it except one, which I called "how Elphie is able to be melted." When For Good ended, I was near tears and then I watched in horror as Elphie melted behind the curtain. And then I nearly burst into to tears again as Glinda said, "Elphie?" and began to draw back the curtain and the finale came. Then Fiyero came out and held the hat... and I was in complete shock as Elphie climbed out of the stage! My friend told me she will never, ever forget the look on my face when that happened. *

Cat fight (especially 'well we can't all come and go by bubble'), end of Wizard and I, For Good (especially giving up the book), last scene, umm, kay I'll try to get one that hasn't been mentioned...
Oh I know! The beginning of What is This Feeling? where Idina lowers her glasses before she says "...blonde."
The 'ball gown' fiasco in Popular. (hilarious)
The hat scene and giving of the wand in Dancing Through Life (that choked me up cuz I wasn't expecting it.)
I love Elphie's reaction of horror when she first changes the monkeys and realizes what the Wiz really is.

Yeah, Elphie's reaction to the horrible wizard was so good. She's just like "Oh shiz! I messed up!"
But the part that really gets me is the end of Defying Gravity; "It's Meeeeeeeee!" and she flies. That was the moment that did it for me.

I love the dance in DTL...I just started bawling when it happened. I was like-this is just so touching. I just get chills when that happens. I also love when Fiyero swoops in on the vine and says,"Let the green girl GO!". I love that...it's just great! Of course, this is so werid, but at the end of "No Good Deed", I was bawling thinking,"O God, Idina is just so amazing, and I am so lucky to have seen this show".I am a sentimental gal -Colleen |

There are so many great moments in the show. Let's see some of my faves are:
-Elphaba's wicked witch laugh
-cat fight
-the end of "what is this feeling"
-end of "defying gravity"
-"for good"
-all of "popular"
-DTL Elphie dance
I cry so much during the show. Especially during "For Good" that's the real tear jerker.

Even though I am a Wicked virgin, i have some moments that I heard from bootlegs and such.
- The "BOO" and "AH" end of "What Is This Feeling?"
- The "It's ME!!!" end of "Defying Gravity" (really wish they put that on the OCR, gives me the chills)
- The scene right before "For Good"
- All the dialogue in between "Dancing Through Life"
- Fiyero's "Let the green girl go."
- The very end of the musical where Glinda is singing in the bubble, really touching
- The part in "Popular" when Galinda sings "You . . . will . . . be . . ." cause you know what incredible singing and funniness is about to take place.
- The very sad, touching part of "Thank Goodness".
Plus, everything else in the whole musical.

I have a couple.
1. on the cd, at the end of for good, when Kristin takes the low part and idina goes higher. Sheer gorgeousness
2. on a boot i have, when kristin hits the high a in "no one mounrs the wicked" during "by and byyyyyyy" and stuff and then the high c at the end.
3. When michelle belts "wicked witch ooooof the eeeeaeeeeeast!" *shiver shiver*

I just love when Elphaba gives Glinda the Grimmerie right before For Good (or is it after? AACK! Something I don't know about Wicked! Panic! I really need to see this show again, it's been 9 months!) I love when Glinda says, half crying, "Elphie, you know I can't read that!" It's such a funny moment in the middle of a very touching party of the show.

They've actually played that down a lot. I've heard clips of SF where Kristin says it in a way that makes it very obvious that it's a joke, but she's pretty serious about it now. So it doesn't get the laugh anymore, at least not reguarly.

Yeah, the first time I saw it I remember cracking up cause of the delivery, but the next few times I didn't cause I knew what was coming. But now I've noticed that I'm not the only one who isn't laughing anymore...she definitely has played it down

Hm...favorite moments. Lots, really.
I really love "For Good". It's just so touching and I cry everytime I listen to it. So when I saw it, I was sobbing.
"I'm Not That Girl" is really great. Ah, the joys of love.
"Popular" is just hysterical! I love the whole thing! Especially the hair flip!
The cat fight, of course! Especially after Glinda slaps Elphie. The whole crowd just goes: "Ooooh. No she did NOT just do that!" And then Elphie returns the slap and they go: "WOO! Go Elphie!" LOL. I love it.
"Wonderful" is a great number for Joel. I love the dance at the end.
There's too many moments!
