Okay, I am looking for a good (free) program to do icons etc with. I have Microsoft Pictures 7.0 but that isn't the greatest and I dont want to spend like, any money, or maybe a little. Any body have any ideas?
Oh i tried GIMP but it didn't work. Help!

I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro/Animation Shop and Adobe Photoshop. I downloaded them off og Kazaa. Of course, you could always do a free trial. But they only last for 30 days.

yeah i use paint shop pro and animation shop also. the animation shop trial is only 30 days but psp is 60 days...so its a nice amt of time  |

I have a program that does pretty much what paint does, but it does have animation. I don't really know if it's the best but you can try it. It's a free to download program and it's free to register it. Unlimited use. site: www.freeserifsoftware.com/software/photoediting.asp |

I have a program called Gimp. It's free and you have unlimited use. It's a pretty kick-ass program...and it also supposedly has animation, but I have yet to figure out how to work it. www.gimp.org |

Well, instead of trying to mess around with all the stuff on the Internet I just went to Target and bought Paint Shop Pro. I really like it, but I'm still trying to figure out all the dealy-bobs and do-dahs it has. Thanks for your advice!!

I don't know if it's illegal....but I downloaded a trial version Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7 when I was in 7th grade. I'll be a senior this fall, and it still works. I get a little message when I up in it up, where it's like, "You're on day 1341 of your 30 day trial." I don't know why (I don't remember how I figured out how to get it to work in the first place). I right click on the My Computer or My Documents folder on the desktop, and click "Browse with Paint Shop Pro" and it brings up the thing that says "You must order PSP for it to continue to work. Click to Order or to Quit" Then I hit quit, but the program still works anyway. Oh well, I thought it was funny. And it's my favorite program.

Right now I have Paintshop pro 8. For a 100 bucks i hope it works! llam! Can i do animation on this program?

I downloaded Paint Shop Pro 7 seven months ago, and after its 60 days it brought up the Order/Quit options, and wouldn't run. However, if I turn the clock on my computer back seven months, it will run. I just need to remember to turn my date back!

I have psp8 and i have no clue whatsoever how to use it! i have read the manual but still do not know. I don't even know where to go to make an icon. Well there goes 100 bucks down the drain.llam. Now i heard that animation isn't included on psp so now i gotta pay more money to buy animation shop! geesh! I am going broke! llam. Anyone have psp and know how it works?
