I've been prompted via PM by our lovely admin SugarTherapy to come over here & introduce myself, so here goes... I'm Ava, age 23, location NYC. I became a Wicked fan because I'm a big Idina Menzel fan & have seen almost everything she's done for the past 5 years or so. LOL, does that make me sound scary & stalkerish? I hope not. Anyway, when I heard she was going to be in this new show called Wicked I went out & got the book. It took me a while to get through it, but I really enjoyed the ideas & the characters. Then I heard Idina sing " Defying Gravity" at her Broadway Spotlight concert in Oct. '02 & was blown away by that great song. I got tickets for the first preview right away, and was totally bummed when it was canceled becasue I'd really been looking forward to see the very first performance here in NYC. But I was lucky enough to win lotto on the new first preview date & was just amazed seeing this great show from the front row on its very first night here. I've now seen the show 4 times and just love it. Anyway, enough about that. I'll probably be mostly a lurker around here (damn being a grown up & needing a full time job) but I'll check in from time to time to see what's up in the world of Wicked  |

Hey there everyone! My name is Kay (hense the fun, slightly odd username.. ) and I'm... a Wicked-a-holic. I must admit that I never asked for it, or planned it in advance  ... I just happened to win the Lottery the very first time I tried in back in November. Random school trip into NYC with my college acting class... randomly threw my name in the drawing... and well,  Since then I've seen "Wicked" one other time with my boyfriend. He's managed to become rather addicted to the show as well now, (and I wouldn't have it any other way!). I'm also a member of several of the Yahoo! Wicked groups (Borderlight22 is the SN I use there, I think) and I decided to hop over here to join in the fun! I'm planning on posting fanfiction n' stuff as soon as I get it edited the way I want it... and I'm also working on some pretty graphics so my posts don't look quite this boring! (Now if only I can find a site to host said graphics on, life will be great...) Uhm, anyway.. I think I've given the important stuff. Off to post! And you said the magic word: Fanfiction. You do realize now everyone will be pestering you about posting. ;D As for hosting, if you get stuck, I have some room if you need it. I host a few of the images here (not as many as Aly but still some) and can easily take a few more. Eeeee! You've seen Wild Party then? *freaks out* -gyps Yup. 5 times. (I was a little umm... obsessive a few years ago, LOL.) By the 4th or 5th time, Idina actually said to me "Wait, you're here again?" Slightly embarassing. It was a fabulous show though. If the other (not nearly as good, IMO) Wild Party wasn't already on Broadway, I think it would've transferred. I went to closing night and everyone was pretty emotional about it. Such a great show... ah, fun times. |

Hey! I'm Nikki, and by June, I'll have seen Wicked like 5 or 6 times! I love Idina Menzel and the entire Wicked cast so much! I probably only really became obssessed with it when I saw it in previews in October, but it's grown on me a lot! And I've listened to the RENT CD for quite some time and always have liked Maureen, but now that I know that it's Idina, I like the character even more! The music, plot, and dramatization are all so excellent!
I'm a Jersey girl, so New York isn't that far away (thank Oz!)! I'm so happy to be a part of all this! I look forward to posting with all of you!

Intros---hmm...
I'm Nikki, I live in NJ, and I am a complete Wicked nut! So much, in fact, that my friends know the lyrics to the songs, even though they never listen to the CD...yes, they learn them from me! Llam! I've seen Wicked only twice, but they were the most memorable moments ever. Idina completey astounded me the first time, and, even though I have heard her on the RENT soundtrack, her ability isn't even scratched by Maureen. Sure 'Over the Moon' was excellent, but, in comparison, Wicked shows off her abilities so much better! Wicked fandom happened completey by seeing the show, which I will be seeing again in March for the third time, and, after reading the book, I love it all the more! Sure, there's hidden meanings and symbolism in the show, and being a complete English freak, I picked them out, but nothing compares to the spirit and the ability of the actors on stage! Even the ensemble is wonderful, which is something you definitely can't say for every Broadway show! What probably struck me most before even seeing the show was that something that everyone all knew, or that we thought we knew--The Wicked Witch of the West--is completely turned around and you get a completely different persepective on things. That show moved me so much, and I can't say that truthfully about any others I've seen...and trust me, I've seen a lot!
