Anyone else notice how often the word "wind" appears in the book? I'm not sure what it symbolizes yet, but I'm sure it's something. Start looking for it and you can find about one per page. Thoughts on this?

One wind per page? Wow, I must look into this. Possibly the winds of change? *shrug* -gyps

That's very interesting! Lol I'm going to go check now. How did you notice that?

She's gone through the entire book, highlighted the word "wicked" wherever it appears, and gone through the way everyone talks... it's pretty amazing... She's picked out that Gregory Maguire always does "she said" and "said Glinda" - never "said she" or "Glinda said." It's really cool.
Anyway, about the wind thing... That's really interesting and I wonder if it relates in any way to the tornado?

I think this is really interesting. I would have never noticed had this thread not been erectified. Maybe it has something to do with the broom, Elphaba being able to fly. Or, like PrinceFiyero said, something about the tornado.
