besides the cast, are there any major differences between the tour production and the broadway production? (stage set-up, extra songs, different twists, etc.) thanx!

I know there is no trap door in some theaters so everything that involves that has been modified, thought because I have not seen the tour yet, I don't know how they go about that exactly.
Those who do, please post but be sure to black out any spoilers!

I've heard, from people who've seen the tour that for No Good Deed she comes in flying. ;D

Um...okay...from what I can tell, here are the differences:
Nope, she doesn't fly in during No Good Deed. She runs onstage. There is no giant witch hat in the beginning The monkeys do not fly into the audience. Kendra (Glinda) improvises some of her lines, so they are different. I haven't seen the full broadway show yet, but from what people tell me, there is a scene other than DG where the witch is supposed to fly...is that correct? Apparently this was where Steph was hurt so they took it out and now she just walks onto the stage.
Anyway, I think that's pretty much it. This is just me comparing it to what I know about the bway show. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about bway.

Oh ,and this is different as well:
Elphaba doesn't rise from the floor at the beginning of No Good Deed. She runs onstage.
Now that I've seen more clips of the Bway show, I can see the differences. Also, some of the costumes have been slightly altered.

If they dont use trapdoors, how does the melting work?
Also, at the end of Defying Gravity, the lights go purple instead of green. I like the green a lot better.

It's probably a recording that they did somewhere with a trapdoor that is projected onto the curtain from behind.

Any word on why the Galinda-arriving-at-Shiz costume (the white dress suit) is different in Chicago and on tour than the Broadway version? Or did they update that when I wasn't looking?

I don't know. I noticed that too, but I'm not sure if there is any real reason why it is different.
