What can I say? I loved the entire cast! Carole Shelly will forever be Lady Cluck from Disney's Robin Hood in my little girl memories...lol...so it was fun seeing her on stage, in person...and not...well...a chicken! lol. I adored Kristin and Idina in their roles, I think like everyone else. Nothing new there. I saw Kristin's understudy once and she was very good, but she's not Kristin. Luckily it was the first time I saw the show and the CD wasn't out yet, so I had nothing to compare her to. So I just enjoyed it. I think if I had seen Kristin first I would have been grumpy the whole show. But now I've seen Idina twice and I can't IMAGINE anyone else playing Elphaba...I hope she's not out when I go the 3rd time (oh dear, I hope I just didn't jinx myself). I never did get to see Taye...though I wanted to...as Fiyero, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Norbert! LOL! I saw him in RENT too and loved him there first. Although, no one will ever compare to Adam Pascal for me! haha! I LOVE him...ok, getting off topic... But Kristoffer was very good too, I had no complaints when I saw him. I hope the whole cast sticks around for a while and here's to Tony hopes and wishes!! Rachel

Oh my gosh! I THOUGHT Carole Shelly sounded familiar! Heh heh, I saw Robin Hood in her bio in the playbill and I never put 2 and 2 together. I love the entire cast. I think this is one of the only shows I've seen where every single cast member, right down to the last ensemble member, is absolutely flawless and completely fits the role.

Carol Shelley just spoke at my graduation last weekend...she was very eloquent and funny and charming...but it was HIlarious because she had about 8 pages of notes and they were all over the place and every so often she'd scan em and go "Um.....no I don't think I wanna share that with you....um...."

That's so excellent! How did Carole Shelley speak at your graduation? Is she like alumni from your school? That would be awesome!
The entire cast is amazing! Obviously, Idina and Kristin are PHENOMENAL!!!!! They work soooo well together and they're both so talented! But even down to the ensemble, there's so much talent and energy and they all love what they're doing! It's so excellent!

No, she's not an alumni, she's just a friend of the Artistic Director and he asks her to come speak at Graduation every so often.

That's usually when you get someone of fame to speak. *will probably have Bill Cosby at her grad since she goes to his alma mater*

No one famous in my area, darn. Is Carole Shelly really that nice? I dunno, I thought of her more like a stiff kind of gal...then again, I didn't meet her, so maybe I'm just taking that from Morrible's character. The most famous of a person my school has ever had is some writer, I forget his name (that's how famous he is...) and a poet...Shel Silverstein also came to my elementary school...a while ago, of course. Hehehe

You are taking it off the Morrible character. Carol Shelly is actually a lovely, kind, funny, humble, self-deprecating, appreciative and generous woman. Her speech at my graduation was truly moving and honest and it was a great honor that she came and spoke to us just minutes before her call for the Saturday matinee.

I've never met her, so I guess my Wicked ideas are clouding my judgement, though I could picture her as a bubbly person underneath all the horrible morrible stuff. What'd she say?
