Taken from an interview on Broadway.com
Q: Does anyone ever tell you to watch your Southern accent? A: Not really. When I talk to my mom, of course it comes back full-force. In Wicked the book, Glinda is actually the good witch of the South. So I take a few liberties with the accent sometimes. I put a little Delta Burke in there.
------------------------------
Side note: That's not exactly true. In the original Oz, Gillikan was in the south. But things get all switched around cause Munchkinland was in the west as well. A map of GM's Oz can be found in the front of "Wicked." Galinda is definately from the North in Wicked, but I'm not so sure in the Original Oz.

Awww I love her accent. She's so cute with it! I didn't think she made it very apparent in the show but afterward it came out full force.

Oh, Kristin... Apparently she had her neck brace on again during one of the shows this weekend. Poor thing...

Ow, that's horrible! I hope she's okay...she prob signed up for phys therapy backstage...I wonder what happened, or if it's just sore. Did she do her little hair flip thing with the line added: (don't know if it's a spoiler, I'll assume it is) You just have to flip it with your hand. But, careful, you don't want to hurt your neck. It was really excellent when she did it, but I really hope she's okay.

I really hope she is ok too. She really makes the role of Glinda so awesomely awesome so I really hope she is there when I go, with or without the neck brace(hopefully by then it will be without!). -Colleen

Although, I only think she missed one or two performances, and ur date is a month away, so I wouldn't be too worried. I love Krisin, and I really can't picture Laura Bell Bundy singing soprano--doesn't work in my head. I only think Kristin missed a few performances---despite having lamps fall on her head and being dragged offstage by Fiyero's rope.

I swear it seems like this show is really beating poor Kristin up. I know Norbert had his back ingery, but that was it for him! Kristin seems to get pulled, kicked, and hit more than any other person in theater!I really hope the poor girl doesn't get hurt anymore while doing this show. She is just so talented and sweet it's horrible that so much has happened to her already! -Colleen

I watched "Music Man" the other night..and..sigh. Matthew Broderick sucks, but Cheno is the stuff! LOL. Her rendition of "Goodnight My Someone" gives me chills. Too bad some bonehead spelled her name wrong in the special features. It was so cute in the documentary when she goes "That's when they'll...get the gooosebumps!"

Anyone know if she's back yet? She was out on wednesday with an apparent leg injury...

Norbert's back is really okay now. (My dad knows him--we've kept in touch!) Kristin, on the other hand, poor gal gets knocked out with a lamp and gets dragged off stage as Norbert puts it: "It was like watching Barbie being hung!" AHH! I don't know if I paraphrased that or not...oh well. HFOS

In the Original Oz, Glinda is from the south (Quadling Country). I think that GM had her from the North b/c of the movie.
I think Kristin's singing is so awesome and I wish I could sing like that.

Yaya for Kristin! That is so totally awesome!I am so glad that Kristin and Idina are getting such positive press because of Wicked. I mean I'm sureshe still would have got the movie deal without Wicked, but Im sure it didnt hurt to be in one of the best musicals currently on Broadway. Yaya for Cheno! -Colleen
