Aww, this is going to rock. Yay for Kristin. But wouldn't it be even cooler if she and Dee hosted it together? I could think of so many wicked gags they could stick in. But I imagine that will get annoying after a bit. But Kristin's going to be fantastic, im sure. -gyps

Ummm, I doubt it. I've never seen it televised before, and Playbill.com usually reports when events such as these take place. If it were to be televised, I think Bravo would be the one to air it. They sometimes have theater events, but I doubt they will have this one.

Actually, your best bet to see it on air is if you live in the NYC area....NY1 is the mostly station to air the awards. The Drama Desk Awards don't really have the national reach the Tonys do, so even Bravo's out. PBS maybe, but unlikely. I say NY1 might show emm though.

That's awesome for Kristin! If it's televised, I'm very jealous of you NYC-ers.

I know...I wish it were televised too, and I hope Wicked wins a bunch. I do have a close contact at the Grand Hyatt, and I'm wondering what the possibilities of getting him to pull some strings for me would be, but that's just where they're being held, so I don't know how much power he'd have.

If anybody has a TV that picks up the award show, I'm sure all of us non New Yorkers (sadness in itself) would love a copy if anybody would tape it.

Details about this event being televised have not been given, so we'll just have to wait and see.

It's been discussed and speculated at length up thread (read, enjoy ...the best bet for broadcasting is probably on NY1, available to those in the metro NYC area. But it's not a big show, like the Tonys, so it won't get broadcast nationally.
