I did that! There's this one picture that I just LOVE... its pretty recent. It's a pic of Dee and Taye walking into the Drama Desk awards, I think, and they're holding hands. Maybe they were late or something, idk, but she seems all focused on getting inside the building and he's just staring up at her... AWW! I love the two of them. They are just the most gorgeous and talented couple alive! Am I jealous? Well... maybe a little!

WOW. I am so pissed off at myself... So, I'm looking on the Getty Images page. I search for Taye Diggs and I find one with Idina, Taye, and two other people I didn't recognize. The caption says "Feb. 8th, 2004, Knicks vs. Clippers" and I realize... HOLY SHIZ! I was at that game. The same game as Idina and Taye. AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT! Oh god. I've like daydreamed about randomly meeting them places forever... and now it happened like 3 months ago and I didn't even know it. WHY ME?!!  |

And what's even better is to look at the poster they're standing in front of and see Idina looking very lovely with her mouth open for a fly to come in (I know she's belting but it looks a little...odd).

I found a fellow Idina fan in my school today! I was so happy lol. Our show was tonight (Oklahoma!) and we were standing in the wings during intermission. My friend and I were telling everyone how excited we were to see Wicked on Tuesday (!!!!!) and I'm like "Idina better be there!" Then this girl turns around and she's like "Idina Menzel?" And we get into this whole conversation about how we both like, worship the ground she walks on and completely idolize her! It was cool. The girl's a senior and she was an "original Renthead" (she's seen the OBC 30 times lol!). She says she used to follow around Idina and Adam Pascal on the streets by the Nederlander, hah! Sounds like me at the Gershie lol. It was so awesome. Most people at my school don't even know who Idina is.

I met people who knew of Idina when I was in my hotel in Toronto two weekends ago-- but their facts were really strange-- I don't want to say 'wrong' cuz hell, I'm no expert! But I don't think they were correct. So I'm in the elevator of the stupid thirty floor hotel with my brother Jon and I'm wearing my Wicked shirt and these Boston people (on a bus tour to Toronto to watch baseball) are talking about Tony noms. And one of them says something about "yeah, and Idina got a nomination." So the other says "Idina?" And the first guy says "Idina Menzel." And the second guy asks "isn't she that hot chick married to that guy from Chicago?" Meanwhile I'm just looking at my brother and grinning stupidly, not saying a word. So the first guy goes "yeah, Taye Diggs, but they just got divorced." And I have to look REALLY hard at the ceiling to keep from correcting them or bursting out laughing. And then of course I freak out and start to think OMG Dee got a divorce in the four hours I've been away from the board! I couldn't believe it, but I guess when you're a star that's the kind of rumors you have to put up with.  |
