Um...I'll try...while I can see that they two do have some similarities (in the music a lil, they both write songs, etc.) I don't think Idina sounds like Sheryl, but then again I rarely listen to her so I'm not the best person to ask...but I tried.

wow.. ok well this is gunna be kinda long.. and i wasnt sure where to post this.. but since this is the idina thread... court already heard the story cause i rushed home and imd her like mad and had to tell her.. so it has to do with meeting idina.. not me ..someone else.. but it has to do with the amazing deeee
k here goes..
tonight was my brothers prom..and so i went up to the school 4 hours early to get good seats on the bleachers to watch the entrances.. b/c my brother and my friends were doing this big musical entrance to the song " Prince Ali" from aladdin .the theme was mardi gras and the school was decorated soo beautifully..( were a bunch of theatre people and it was the best entrance everrrr) .. ok so i thought ok.. 4 hours.. no prob. ill bring my wicked book and read it ..
well i ended up meeting this lady who my mom used to teach piano to her daughters ( and they were with her)
she saw my wicked book on the bleacher and she said " oh have you seen wicked" and when she said that i got all giddy and excited and went.. " ohhh have i seeen wicked.. im totally obsessed with it.. i looove the show and the music.and uggh everything is soo amazing" and then we both got huge grins on.. talking about wicked and she was saying how amazing it was and how she loved it..and her wicked experience... i was talking about my obsession and what its made of when it started etc..lol
and thennnnn
she said " yea i saw it last month with a friend of mine and just simply loved it... and the person i went with was friends with the the one who was the green witch"
and even from just saying that.. i started flipping out...
" we were able to get really good house seats.. and he said to me before the show.. would you wanna meet idina after the show.. and at that point i was like ehh i dunno( cause she didnt know who she was).. but after that amazing performance i was like oh yesss how could i say no ..she was phenominal... soo i got to meet her in her dressing room and she was soo nice and sweet... and down to earth.. and really when i went to meet her.. after that performance i had no idea really what to say to her.. i mean ..singing those songs like that.. i was speechless.. it felt like i didnt have the right words to say to her .."
during all this.. i was i think almost hyperventalating.. llam well not really .. but i was soo excited just hearing this story and couldnt believe that it was happening.. and my mom said when she just ame by to drop something off i was like " amd i obsessed with wicked" just to prove a point to the lady i was talking to.. and my mom was like " oh yesss she is, she loves the show"
and she continued
" she welcomed us into her dressing room. she kept on apologizing and saying how tired she was "
i went " WELL AT 8 SHOWS A WEEK .... i can believe it..how does she do it .. and only one day off.. she amazes me and everyone else who sees the show" all of this conversationg was during a game i was playing of crazy eights ( this card game) with her daughter.. and she kept on having to tap me going " its your turn"
cause i just kept on talking to her about idina and was such in shock.. i was ike " is this really happening.. am i actaully hearing this"
she continued and was like
" she showed us her many brooms and she said " ya know incase one breaks" andi was like " ooo did you get to see her GORGEOUS BLACK ACT II DRESS" and she responded with "yea and her awsome cool boots that curl up.. she showed us her green makeup and how she puts it on.. and she told us that " once my nephews came to visit and they said that hey wanted to do my green makeup.. ( and they were young children) and so i let them put it on me... and they did quite a good job... but then had a 1/2 hour left for the makeup people to touch up spots that they missed..and trhey were all excited saying that did aunt idinas makeup"
and then.... shes said " yea then after showing us all this stuff idina was like " do you wanna come on the stage"
so she continutues saying " so she was so generous and nice about bringing us on stage.....and she showed us how the whole stage is slanted...and idina was like " yea my back hurst so much sometimes from standing on the slanted stage all night .and she kept on saying she was exhausted... but was sooo nice"
and then i kept on saying.. " wow .. i wish .. i hope .. that she knows HOW MANY people.. out there like myself.. are faithful wicked/ idina fans.. and that herself and her music has influenced and touched so many lives
and i was like.. and ya know ive heard from other people that shes not nice to her fans??
she returned with " oh nooo.. i dont htink so..even though she kept on saying taht she was tired...and the plopped herself on her couch in her dressing room she put her hands over her head and said " im soo tired...i have no life..".... ( which i responded with a gasp.. and a look like WHATTT? and she kept on saying how nice she was and down to earth.. ) but the she said that after she said that she said " but i have a school out t here thats waiting for me..
she went out on the stage...and talked with them for an hour.. and went out to sign stuff anyways ..and had the children gather round and even had a child sit on her lap
thats basically my wicked moment for the day.. and if i wasnt allowed to post this.. you can certainly tell me to delete it.. or switch it to another thread..
i came home and ran to the computer to tell courtney.. and she loved the story id just thought id share this with you.. just cause when i hear and read stories like this.. it makes me feel that i was there.. and then im happy and have a huge grin on my face..
this happened bout 7 hours ago.. and ever since ive been in the greatest mood everrr

ahh amanda that was the coolest story ive ever heard and im so glad you told me right away! hehe
I also love the part about her nephews painting her green! idina is so great!! i dont know how she does it...she flies while belting out some of the hardest songs 8 times a week...gives backstage tours..and comes out to visit her fans at the stage door..i can totally understand now why she seems so tired at the stage door..i have so much respect for her!! YA DEE!!!!!!!! ;D

I miss her a lot but since I'm going up on Sunday to go see Eden (or at least try because I'm doing lotto) for that day only I will not miss her...but I will. I'll miss her because when I see Eden (we're being positive here) I'll remember Idina and how she's not there and the circle will keep on repeating. Anyways, we all miss Idina and will be very happy when she's back at home and finished making out with Colin (Taye will be happy too)!

llam yup... Taye will be happy when Idina is home and making out with him, not Colin. Although I must say, Idina is a very lucky lady to be able to make out with Colin and Taye!!  hehe. I want Idina to come back! But I'm excited to see this movie... I've still never seen any Idina movies. 6 more days, people!!! ;D |

Today was an amazing day. MY mom gets the mail and she's like, " There's something in the mail for you from NYC. 51st street!" I start freaking out, and then, I see the green handwriting. It's gotta be Idina!! I open it and Elphaba/Idina is looking out at me!! I know you all can imagine how happy I am! It just totally made my whole week. Woo hoo!!! I love it when surprise things happen. Idina is the greatest!!! Just though I'd share a good Wicked moment.
