Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Idina stuff, anything I can get my hands on really. Did anyone see her in Aida? Because the recordings I have of her in that are like, PHENOMENAL. Like, I just felt like they blew most of the things she's done out of the water!

What really got me was "Every Story is a Love Story", during the part where Amneris starts to belt. Idina took what Sherie Rene Scott did (she's the only other person I've heard as Amneris) and just changed it entirely, yet made it sound right. It had this amazing Idina flair, and the last "Ohhhh..." that leads into "Fortune Favors the Brave" is cooler than (yes, cooler than) the big "Ohh..." at the end of "Defying Gravity", but I think it's because her "Defying Gravity" note isn't meant to be played with like the last note in "Every Story is a Love Story", because Idina riffed on that and it was AMAZING.

I found some really cool Idina interviews about Wicked. The first one has Idina talking about "Defying Gravity" in Wicked, the characters of Elphaba and Glinda, and the relationships between the "Witches of Oz" and Wicked. The second one is Idina taking on acting on stage with her husband, Taye Diggs, and working with Kristin Chenoweth, Joel Grey, and Carole Shelley. It's a really good interview and very enjoyable. Yeah, I listened to it a while back when I found it on Playbill. My favorite part of the whole interview is when she was talking about Taye being Fiyero, and she says, "But Norbert will always be my favorite Fiyero." I was listening to it with a friend and she goes, "Isn't she, like, MARRIED to Taye? Wouldn't she like him better?" I was like, "Actors who've worked together for a while really get to know each other and can create amazing chemistry, like Norbert and Idina." I ADORE their chemistry.

I know!! I love that part too... and yes, they have awesome chemistry, my brother thought they were together in real life llam after he first saw it. Haha, I was just listening to the part about Idina's "cackle" and how she says that her real laugh is sort of like that too, llamoc. Aww Idina!
