Awww poor Dee has a witch laugh...well we love her anyways so it doesn't matter. But yeah, I was talking to somebody and they're like, 'yeah Idina has more chemestry with Norbert then she does with her own husband.' And it's true, so very very true. Lol, and Norbert has more chemestry with Idina then he does with Eden. In fact Ally and I commented on that while he was onstage and I think he heard it...that was kinda OT but it made me think of it. Anyways, yes Norbert and Idina have sooo much chemestry, it's almost scary.

I loved that interview! It was great!
Idina sounds tired or as if she has a cold in it..she coughs a few times...hmmm..just a random comment llam...but the interview was great..and i loved how she said that she loves working with Kristin and learns so much from her..and how they became friends and stuff...awww ;D ChenoDee love rocks hehe

wow thanks so much for posting that..
i loved the whole "norberts my favorite man...........on stage" part haha that was fun
and all these people yesterday were saying "oh idina and kristin hate eachother"...umm obviously not.
its all just very sweet....their whole friendship because idina and kristin are just not the type who would naturally become so close, and obviously working together for such a long period of time would do it, but its just nice to hear about firsthand from the idina herself... yea i lost what i was trying to say so uh. thanks again for posting that!!!!

To answer an earlier question....
I saw Idina as Amneris (spelling? eh...)... and she completely rocked the part out. Instead of imitating Sherie (like some other people have done) she totally made the part her own and added all sorts of stuff.
I like to think of her as the mildly dorky Amneris. And I like it.
Ok... question. You know when Amneris (namely Idina as amneris) comes out in the fashion show during "My Strongest Suit"?
She's got on... I kid you not... (back me up here, people).. a HIGH FASHION ELPHIE COSTUME!
Like... black with the black pointy witch hat thingy...
*ducks while you all throw things at me*

Well to add on to that, if anybody may have coppied her it would have been Sherie because Idina did the workshops of Aida as Amneris...and I've never seen it so I can't vouch for you...

Idina did the workshops as Amneris? OMUG, a stage made up of Idina, Adam, and Heather would have been amazing. I love Sherie, and I LOVE her Amneris, but Idina's Amneris, like most of you have said, is so different. You can hear it even in the singing. AAH I WISH I SAW HER IN THAT ROLE.

Actually, I'm 99% sure that Sherie was Amneris from the beginning. Just like Heather was Aida from the beginning. And I forgot the name of the first Radames. *Goes to "The Making of 'Aida' book to check* And I'm also pretty sure the hat Amneris wears has a cat (he he, that rhymed) in top of it. I love that outfit.  |

Yeah dramaqueen... hehe... it does have a cat on top! Like for the elphie hat pointy bit.
I'm so glad other people noticed this, I just thought it was my overly active Wicked obsession.
That combined with all the wizard of oz references in Rent... and I'm all like "ahh, sweet foreshadowing."

Right Ker, In every interview they mention being from"diff sides of the spectrum" and that picture that we love... of kristin at the tony's while Idina makes her speech (one holding her hands over her heart smiling and the other reaching out blowing her a kiss) prove how close they are... awww man i love those two! I also wish I saw Idina in Aida... I'm sure that was awesome... but my number one is wishing i had seen her in 1996 in RENT.. that must have been beyond amazing! |

Has anyone noticed Idina updated her website..well sort of...it says this now under info:

maybe she changed this a little while ago..but last time i checked it just said "i'm not taking questions anymore..thanks for them ill be positing them soon" or something like that...aww shes so nice! see she DOES appreciate our letters! ;D

I'm very excited that she's going to start answering the questions. I'm sure the one I asked (I actually forget it, but it wasn't very good, methinks) won't be answered, but I know that all of the Idina fans probably came up with some good ones for her to answer.
I wrote to her a while ago, asking for (if she had the chance) a signed photo, and I never got one, which saddened me, but the letter also could've been lost in the mail, and she might just not of had the time to respond. I want to try to send another letter, because I want to congratulate her on her Tony (yeah, I sent the first one at like, the end of April) and say some other stuff (and ask for a picture, again)...do you think she'd get mad, like I was bothering her? I'm just curious, 'cause I'd love to know that she got the letter, and of course I'd like, frame an autographed picture she sent me, but I feel like she'd hate me and be all, "RRR SHE'S BOTHERING ME AGAIN". What do you all think? I know she's a busy woman, and I hate to bother her again.

I don't think she would be mad at you... and honestly she probably gets a lot of fanmail and might not make the connection that you'd already written her.
She's actually kinda shy... I met her years and years ago after Rent and she was very sweet and signed our playbills but was blushing the whole time and said "I really don't understand why people want my autograph! I'm just me!"
If it makes you feel any better, I wrote her too and never got anything back... but I don't think I asked for anything.
