In case you've been living under a rock, Eden Espinosa is new to the Broadway scene, making her mark as the stand-by for Elphaba in Wicked. But she's going to leave the show soon to move on to greater heights, that height being reprising her starring role as Brooklyn in 'Brooklyn the Musical,' a role that she originated. Please don't judge her on the one song from Seth's Broadway Chatterbox she sang, Defying Gravity: She really is phenomonal. So phenomonal, in fact, that I've started a fan club for her. Go and support her, because in times like these, support is what anyone would need. Yay Eden!

Hearing Eden gives me hope for the future of Wicked....so many critics were like "The two leads make or break the show" (which I agree with to an extent)...but hearing Eden....She is not Idina, but she makes the part her own in an amazingly fabulous way. And she is a fantastic belter....wow...I am just very, very impressed. If only they could find someone that great to be Elphie on tour....I am crossing my fingers. And loving Eden. ;D

P.S. To those who have only heard her on chatterbox and were less than thrilled....please don't judge her talent based on that performance. I did, and I was WAY OFF. I have seen the light now....

Eden is so AMAZING...she is INCREDIBLE..FANTASTIC..there are no words to say..she should not be considered a standby at all..she WAS Elphaba...and I really never thought I would say that considering how much I love Idina

I do have to say I was excited to see her but when she first came on all I could think was I cant believe its not Idina...I kept thinking about what Idina would have done if she was there...but the second she sang The Wizard and I, I was beyond BLOWN away...I got the chills from every song she sang, and I havent gotten the chills from Wicked in a long time because I listen to it everyday...but when I heard her I got the chills..she was so fantastic!!!!! Every line she said, everything was so perfect..and Defying Gravity was the AMAZING..I was like in tears...

And I think if anyone ever had to take over for Idina, Eden is the perfect person..I really wish she would stay Idinas standby or take over for her after January

Whoever is seeing Eden, I dont have a doubt in my mind that you wont like her..she rocked... ;D

Just listening to a clip online of Eden gives me chills! She's has an amazing voice... and my friend who saw Wicked for the first time last weekend was in shock that Eden was the understudy (technically standby, but whatever) lol. She was like, "If the understudy was this good, how good is the principle?" llam. I want to see Eden as Elphaba so badly! I saw Eden as Nessa... although she has an incredible voice, I thought Michelle's was better for Nessa (don't hurt me Eden fans!!). But hearing Eden play Elphaba, her voice is perfect for that role... and that's weird coming from me, because I'm such a huge Idina fan. I want to see Brooklyn really badly... the plot sounds really good too.

I thought Eden had a good voice from hearing her sing "Defying Gravity" online but she is 1000000x better live...at alot of parts she sounds like Idina...she has really, really good voice control too!

i saw Eden on the 25th...she is INCREDIBLE. i mean i was in her fan club before even hearing her perform as elphaba...but WOW she blew me away. i didnt know what to expect as far as someone other than idina playing elphaba...but she was AMAZING!!! and she was soo nice too ;D
