Fellow Ozians,
As terrifying as the thought of Idina leaving Wicked for good makes us all feel, sadly it will soon be upon us. Sooner than we all desire it to be and sooner than we think it really is. How is everyone holding up? Do you think Wicked will survive as well as it has been without our leading lady? She is a performer that I feel honored to have been able to see live on stage, because in my opinion she has what it takes to be a Broadway legend. I know she will prove me right. January 9th surely will be a day of mourning, sadness and grief, but I believe Idina deserves a celebration the Glinda way! And that is why I wanted to ask those who have tickets for the 9th what we were planning on doing to make that day even more special for Idina?? I also believe we should have a Verdigris bonding day, in which anyone going to the show on the 9th (like ME! - Orch. zz baby!! I am sooo excited) or that will be in New York goes out to lunch or meets up before hand somewhere near or around our beloved Gershwin Theater to comiserate about Idina's departure. What do you all think?? Even if we all don't get together before hand, let me know where anyone who is going on the 9th will be sitting! We should meet up during intermission!!!
Thanks plenty dearests!
-Peter
WE LOVE YOU IDINA!!!! Elphaba will never be the same without you.....

I'm very sad Idina will be leaving. Wicked certainly won't be the same without her. I have a ticket for Jan 1. Center Orch Row DD. (my 2nd time going) I'm very excited about going and hopefully I'll get a chance to meet her after the show.

Great! Please do come in before!! I think we all need to be there for each other for moral support. I don't know if I am going to last on the 9th! I might have to be carried out because I am just going to be soo devastated. Ohh, stagesrobbie you should try for the lottery if you can, I'm sure they will be doing it! Go for it! You NEVER know! I won the lottery once out of 500 people, so you really, really never know.
ATTENTION FELLOW OZIANS:
**IF YOU ARE GOING TO SEE IDINA'S LAST SHOW OR EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE TICKETS AND SIMPLY WANT TO COME HANG OUT FOR THE DAY AT THE GERSHWIN AND GO OUT TO LUNCH, etc. PLEASE POST A REPLY!! IT IS A WEEK AWAY!! (I'm already crying)
But seriously, please let me know if there are enough of you who want to do something or hang out. I think it would be fun for us Verdigris members to hang out and finally get to know each other! So please, please, please, reply - tell me anything! I just want to know so that we can plan where to meet, decide on what we are bringing Idina, etc. THANKS PLENTY DEARESTS!

Has anyone ever sent flowers to any of the actors there? I was going to send Idina flowers for her last perforamce but am not sure if I can. Hopefully if I can, I'll be able to find green ones.

I'm not 100% about people SENDING flowers, but I'm sure it can be done. I know people have LEFT flowers there for her for after the show! I think its a very nice gesture! I'm seeing the show- I know I'm in row V (basically because I had Row J for the 2nd and sold those to get tks for the 9th!) but it will still be a great show. I'm sure I'll be seeing tons of you there! If I see a huge group of Wicked fans- I'll be sure to come say hello!!!

Pictures from the final part of the show (i.e. bows) are on Broadway.com.

I'm SO MAD I didn't get to see her before she left(more then once, anyways...I saw it back in June....), and I hope it was a great performance(though obviously, it was). Hey, did anyone else hear that she fell during a performance on Saturday? I don't actually know for a fact it was her, but I heard someone fell in a WICKED performance, and I thought "well, its gotta be Idina in Defying Gravity, because if they'd be reporting if someone else just randomly tripped and fell, I'd be a little worried for the sanity of the press". Sorry if this is a really stupid question, I was just wondering

Oh, sorry. I just found out it most certainly was Idina. Oh, I feel terrible! I'm glad she is alright though (I read the article at Broadway.com) and that she was at the curtain call ;)Anyways, I cannot WAIT to see her in RENT the movie( i just saw the musical the other day, and loved it!)
