cut scenes

When i went in to see wicked w/ my class (o boy....) some one asked a question about things that were cut and the stage maniger said there were two whole scenes cut from the show in SF. They were a funeral scene (prob. nessa's) and then there was a Dr. Dillomand lab testing thingy (they said it was creppy) does n e one know anything about eather of them? please post! ;D

Actually it was Dr. Dillamond's "funeral" instead of having him taken away he was forced to leave his job and then allegedly jumped off of "suicide ridge" leaving only his glasses. On the playbill this is called "Dear Old Shiz reprise" I don't know about a lab test thing, but it was probably just a re-worked version of the cage demonstration.

I wonder if the "lab scene" was a stage version of the part in the book where Fiyero is first introduced and the enchanted antlers attack him?

"O'er the years we cross we shall mourn the loss/Of a spirit as fine as his/ (something) in our days at Dear Old Shiz..." that was sung before the funeral, and this is where Galinda changed her name to Glinda in San Fransico making flowers into 'bigger' flowers with magic (something Elphie mentioned sarcastically after the cyclone at Nessa's grave). As for the lab thing, I'm not quite sure what you meant, they did re-work some of the Monkey scene (in act II) a little for NYC, but the funeral scene was the only major change I noticed. Actually in SF Fiyero was introduced the same way he is now, it's jsut that Elphie met him before Galinda.
