Hey everyone
Broadway.com has announced that Megan Hilty, Rue McClanahan, and Ben Vereen will be the new Glinda, Madam Morrible, and the Wizard May 31. I am glad Megan will be the new Glinda. She was excellent the last time I saw her, and "Blanche" from The Golden Girls as Morrible, that is cool. I hope I can see JLT before she leaves in May.

Blanche! Omgosh she is going to do that?!? That is going to be so neato! And I am also looking forward to Megan Hilty playing Glinda.

I'm so happy for Megan!! She definitely deserves it! I haven't seen Rue McClanahan perform and I'm definitely disappointed that Ben Vereen will be the Wizard. Sean McCourt should have gotten that part - he is, in my opinion, the best Wizard. He plays the role with much more evil than everyone else.

I just learned that Ben Vereen is apparently Usher's father, according to IMDb.com. Does anyone else find that really, really random?

the new cast sounds great!!!! i will miss JLT SO SO SO MUCH!! she is my favorite!! its so hard to think there is going to be a 3rd glinda!! i bet Megan will do great!! i will hopefully see her and Sho together i think that would be awesome because i know they are friends! i haven't heard of the other people but from what you saw the new Morrible sounds great! haha im SO excited!!!!!

I find it sad that really, my only knowledge of Ben (outside of theater) is limited to his role in "Roots" and "Zoobly Zoo."
