Who enters your mind at once when you hear "Elphaba"? (To tell you the truth, I think of Magaret Hamilton first before replacing her in my mind with Idina Menzel for some reason )

Well, I just think of Idina, because she's the original. But sometimes I'll think Ana Gasteyer, because I'm from Chicago.

I usually go for Idina, but sometimes the picture from the book comes to mind-- the one where she's being melted in the last section.

It's usually either Sho or Idina. I haven't actually seen Idina, but have seen Sho 9 times, so she is more "my elphaba". Yet Idina is everywhere, so I do think of her too. It's really random.

Wow, that is an interesting question. Since I've only seen Wicked on stage once, I usually think of an Elphaba I've seen in a picture, or my artwork if I'm working on a picture of her. But, actress wise, it's a tie between Idina and Stephanie. I only think of Margaret Hamilton if I think of "the Witch," since her and Elphaba are almost two different people to me.

I'll probably be killed for this, but to me all of them (excluding Margaret Hamilton) bleand into an anonymous green person in my mind.

When I think of Elphaba, I think of Elphaba the way she's described in the book, not an actress but Idina if I think specifically about the musical...

I think of Idina because she is Elphie in my mind... I mean, yeah, Margaret Hamilton is there but Idina is the orginal... She is the voice on everyone's lips...
((When I try to write Idina, I always manage to write Indiana and then backspace and fix it. LOL))

Well, for a long time it was Idina. But then I FINALLY saw the show, and Ana was Elphie. So, I guess when I recall moments from the show I think of Ana, but if I just hear someone say "Elphaba", I think of Idina. Did that make any sense?

That picture of Idina smiling as Elphie in act two (can't get a pic, will post when I can) comes to mind for me.
