Because there ARE other books out there (shocking, but true), I'm starting this thread for all of us to recomend our favorite non-Wicked books.
Primarily I'm starting this thread because I need new stuff to read.
My picks:
"The Da Vinci Code" "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" "The Lovely Bones" "Sex and the City" "Mr. Maybe"

Other then Lamb and Wicked, I would recommend:

I still haven't read DaVinci code yet. My friend keeps bugging me to cuz I'm a Catholic and I study religion at school, but I'm still slogging throught these damned Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter books by Laurell K. Hamiton. They've totally gone all to hell yet I can't seem to stop reading them!
Have you read House Of Sand And Fog, Chance? My friend who loves Lamb and DaVinci code said it was one of the best book she's ever read. And she's a total book whore. She's read EVERYTHING. Buys at least three books a week, no joke- anything from religion to art to history to thrillers and nedical stuff.

Mists of Avalon was so good! But I must say it sure makes me look at Guinevere differently! I did my final paper for high school on Mists of Avalon...I compared the role of women in it to the role of women in the original Morte d'Artur...paper was supposed to be 4-5 pages. Mine was 12. I've been obsessed with Authurian Legend for the longest time (As Monica can attest as I have posted several times on the TLW boards about it) and Mists gave it a whole twist that I absolutely adored. I even have a copy of the miniseries movie... And yes Chance. The book is soooo much better.

I got to do my final paper for Medieval Lit on Morte d'Arthur and had to act out a skit with a group-- yeah I got the sword (which was real) dropped on my foot when I was supposed to be the lady of the lake and Arthur dropped it.

Ugh. Lovely Bones...everyone told me how Won-der-fulll it was, and so I read it. Slowest moving book I ever saw, even slower then 'Confessions.' I really didn't enjoy Bones, but I do admit the author's ok. -gyps

Might sound kinda sappy but one of my favorite books is A Walk to Remember. After I saw the movie I wanted to read the book and it's different, but it made me cry. It's so good.

but they were out of it. But this was random...
I'm standing there reading the back cover of "Shopaholic takes Manhattan" and all of a sudden a worker comes darting at me. She asked my age, and I replied (after a few seconds cause it took me a few to figure out what the hell was going on) 20. She then picked up the book Addicted and handed it to me. I read the back cover and it's about a woman who's addicted to sex.
Now Aly, Chance, Ryan, Monica...you all have seen me. Do I look like a nympho? Cause wTF was that??? LLAM.
I bought the book, and it is quite good, I'm up to page 70 already. But really, what was that? And the woman was a security guard on top of everything else! WIO? (what in oz?)
