As of right now the only thing I have lined up is Phantom on March 6. Perhaps I'll see 42nd street this weekend, but only if student activities has another case of "No one's buying...tickets are 10 bucks." Then really who can resist. That's how I first saw Wicked after all...and if tickets are only ten bucks, then perhaps I'll just get a ticket and then go hang in the city. I don't particularly wanna see 42nd street.

Ew...dancing. Shows that are just made so people can dance are dumb. Sure, dancing is good, but isn't the point of theatre to tell a good story?

Not necessarily. The point of theatre is to entertain. Theatre actually comes from the Greek word, meaning to view. The point of a play is to tell a good story. Musicals are in their own dimension, just a little subcategory of the theatre.

If you're talking about shows that are basically all dance... they kinda bore me too. I like shows to have plot, not just a bunch of song and dance numbers strung together. I like me theater with a nice balance of dance/song/storyline, I suppose!

Pfft Ricky! llam...Peter's girlfriend is in 42nd Street, remember? I think I remember Harry talking to Peter about trying to get her to give the Shooting Stars a workshop or something... I'm not seeing anything for a while...curses to being a poor college student.

That's an amazing show, so much fun. It's funny, touching, warm, cold, makes you wonder, interesting, great singing, great set, GREAT vaudeville routines, a trio of hilarious strippers and a cute little lamb. Go see it before it goes off, whenever that may be... -gyps

No, I heard somewhere that they're extending it because it started filling up again. -gyps I know they originally said it was closing at the end of Feb...I just checked broadway.com though and it looks like you can buy tickets through May, so you probably heard right gysp...even though you can buy tickets for the show like a day in advance.
