Watching the opening now... Billy Crystal cracks me up, big time. Can't wait to see who wins.

Lord of the Rings to the tune of "My Favorite Things" *dies* This man is crazy...and that is why I love him. Peter Jackson woke up with the head of Seabiscuit in his bed thanks to Sophia Copala. Ha!

yeah, I love this song thing he's doing. It makes me wanna see the Tonys real bad (lol, a little legally blond reference for ya)! God but he was pretty on in one thing: Johnny Depp being the sexiest man alive. Not completly true, I can think of one...Taye Diggs.
OOH, It's Catherine! I love her! She was so good last year! I was so glad she won last year!

But congrats to Tim Robbins for winning Best Supporting Actor.

Well whatever, it's still kinda true
OMG, great Pepsi commercial. Jason Biggs gave an interesting performance. The commercials are good for the Oscars!

My god, I wish I looked half as good as half the women on the Oscars...
Did that make sense? llam...
Anywho, Uma's dress is ugly. Catherine's is to die for.

Lol, it makes sense.... BTW: Congratualtions to Renee, she's worked hard and has been fruitless for a while with these awards. I'm glad she finally got one!

Yay for the songs from Cold Mountain! I love them both. Song is gonna be a tough category....I'm hoping "Into the West" from "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" wins though.

Yeah, at first I didn't like it, but it grew on me. I hope it wins too. Once again, Billy has done it again, this man is a comic genious!

FYI Broadway geeks....Billy's Music Director/Arranger is none other than half of the team who wrote/created for the stage "Hairspray"!

I was just telling Aly and Cate this, and since it's Oscar-related and this IS the OT thread... Anyway, I was just talking to my mom on the phone and she goes "oh look lord of the wings run again" ETA: Good God, it won AGAIN. Like my friend said, why do they even bother annoucing the other nominees?

Yep. With 11 Oscars won out of 11 Oscar nominations, "Lord of the Rings" tied the record. And, as a fan since the very first movie.... it was about time!!
