Well, they finally booted Camile... sorry for anyone who liked her, but I think she should have gone a couple weeks ago. She just always looked angry/sad/moody when singing and had NO personality...
And, on another note.. I like John Peter Lewis! I don't think he should win, but I think there are other people who should go before he does.

tehe, i am so happy with the people of america. i have agreed with all the bootingoffifying. Well, Amy Adams getting the boot to the butt kinda disappointed me, but Leah, Matt and Camille, i didn't like any of 'em, so yeah.
out of the ones left...
i like:
Jasmine (hottie)
John Stevens (he's so good, most of the time)
La Toya (OZsome)
Jennifer (SHE ROCKS!! but not too fashionable)
and George (also rocks my socks)
can not stand:
Jon Peter Lewis (he looks like a hobbit, just uglier...and i hate his voice too)
neutral towards:
Fantasia (she's too good...i bet she's like, a spy or something)
Diana (too load, lol, i know, dumb reason, but i just dont care much for her, but she's good)

i love american idol! but i never watch until the top 12.
i was so upset when amy lost last week. she actually did well that tuesday. all the others that got kicked off i agreed with. But when will they get rid of JPL he is not that great of a singer at all! i just hope he leaves soon.
i am definately hoping that fanatsia or jasmine win tho.

I don't really want to bash Americans, cuz you guys know I love you to death, but HOW can you keep John Stevens in American Idol?!?!?!? PLLLLLLEASE tell me why he's better than Amy Adams? The guy is just so sad!! I'm sorry, and I admit I loved his audition, but he can't sing as anyone else except Sinatra and Dean Martin. And the guy has NOOO personality! Amy was so funny! And Diana and Jasmine get put into the bottom three instead of John and JPL? How does this voting system work? Okay crazy rant over. All I can say is thank goodness Jen Hudson didn't go. Her Circle of Life kicked butt. I totally agree with you about Amy. She should have gone on rather than John Stevens. My family was talking about that yesterday and we think that people aren't voting based on singing and they should. |

Yeah, Simon actually had a point last week when he said that when you set up the voting system so that people can vote for peoples' personality instead of their singing, this is what happens. People vote based on personality and not vocal prowess. Which sucks. Sure JPL is cute and he reminds everyone of a hobbit or a munchkin, but the guy isn't a strong singer, imho. I mean, he's not a strong singer COMPARED to people like Amy and Fantasia and LaToya and Diana who just project buckets of emotion into what they sing every week. Same goes for John Stevens. The guy has the emotion of a wet rag. Sure I love the Sinatra impression, but he doesn't bring the house down and make people FEEL anything except maybe sleepy.
Uh oh, Mon's using capital letters. She MUST be in a crazy rant. Sorry!

Fantasia-SPECTACULAR
Latoya-WOW
JPL-sucked, I really don't know why he's in there, he can't sing.
Diana-good but pitchy. i don't think she picked a good song for her (I think the only one who can pull that song off is Celine Dion)
George-bad song again, he sounded very boring I guess. Normally his voice gives me chills and nothing to night.
Jasmine was good as well
and good ol Frankie (aka J Stevens) still sounded like Frank Sinatra
I dunno I think it's going to be all girls.
Jennifer really blew me away and so did Fantasia
Lately Diana hasn't been impressing me.
Anyway that's my two cents!

Ya know, though I kinda let him slide the past weeks, John Stephens finally got to me last night. In a bad way. Everything he sings sounds the same! Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin 40's imitation. I'd like to see him break that stupid mold just once and really put himself out there with something completely different.

I totally loved Stevens when he auditioned cuz he reminded me of Michael Buble, but week after week of the same thing it's just like 'come on buddy, show some range'! Well after my rant two weeks ago, I must say I was impressed with America's voting this week. JPL, Diana, and Jon. Looks like (judging by the fact that Diana's been in the bottom three the last three weeks and the fact that Jon Stevens is boring as heck) the final four will probably be the four African Americans ;D ;D ;D ;D YAY!!!!!!! Fantasia, Jen, and LaToya totally blew me away this week. Fantasia's Summertime was frellin' amazing. But the person I was most impressed with this week had to be Quentin Tarantino. That man is da bomb. Love him! |

I was kinda confused with Tarantino as a celeb judge. I was sitting there trying to figure out why they chose him. Correct me if I'm way off base... but how much music knowledge does he really have? And for JPL... I didn't expect him in the final four contestants, but I didn't think it was his week to exit yet. At the very least, he shouldn't have gone before John Stephens! I was SO certain it was Stephens when they pulled the two lowest vote-getters. |

The chicks ROCKED in tonights show!
George, not so good, very shaky
Jon, a little less Franky but still the same
Diana sounded good! The last few weeks I haven't liked her performances but tonight she was awesome. (I know this is kinda mean and petty, but is she getting, well, fatter? in the face at least?)
Jennifer was amazing
Jasmine-amazing
latoya-awesome (is she the oldest? she seems like she has the most mature voice)
Fantasia-as usual she rocked! (she 19 and she has a kid that's probably two already?)
I think what helped this week is that Barry Manilow took the time to help each singer personalize their song. He helped them pick a song that was the best for them and he changed the songs a little to help them as well. Everyone was in the proper rang for once!
Oh and what did Paula do to her arm???
I predict within two weeks, all girls idol!

I totally agree that it's going to be all girls Idol. Also that b/c Barry helped them all out, they shined, especially the girls.
