Diva Showdown!!!! Jen rocks my world. She kicks butt. Keeps getting better and better. And Fantasia is freakin amazing. Her Summertime last week had me in tears, and her Miracle was so full of energy it was amazing ;D

LLAM that was my thought exactly I mean, of all the Manilow songs... and no one sang Ships or I Write The Songs or Copacabana... some on people! Not that I'm a fan anyways, but anything's better than Mandy ;D Simpsons has completely ruined that song for me. You just wanna start singing "oh Marge-y, oh you came and you brought me a turkey, on my vacation away from work-y." llam.

Five minutes left in the results show...
Jennifer, Fantasia, and LaToya in the bottom three.
Am I the only one who feels like this episode has been filmed in Bizarro-Vision?!

I can't believe that the two guys who sang badly yesterday were in the top four!!!! Poor Jennifer! She has been singing amazing and now she's booted. Hopefully she gets some sort of deal or something because she made it into the top seven And yes I agree with the bizarro vision American's are voting stupidly! (I apologize to all americans, I just don't like the outcome!) I think Jon Stevens should have gone

I thought that. Like, I was waiting for somebody in charge of American Idol to run on screen and tell Ryan he was reading the sheet upside down! It was NOT Jennifer's night to go. Heh. You know, I'm really curious who got the highest number of votes... And yet, my roomie and I discussed this a bit... Honestly, while Jennifer, Fantasia and LaToya rock, think about the largest demographic that watches Idol. The audience that singers like those three would appeal to doesn't really watch the show. R&B doesn't have the wide appeal that a pop singing Clay Aiken does (just compare the record sales of Ruben to Clay) and that seems to be where any of the ladies would fit in. In short, people who would have voted for Jennifer, Fantasia or LaToya simply aren't watching...

Well, after tonight I think an appropriate question would be 'is anyone still watching American Idol?' I'm sure not tuning in anymore. The voting system has to be rigged or something. I refuse to believe that the American public (whom I usually respect dearly) would be so... empty-headed, to use one of Fiyero's favourite lines, as to keep Jon in over Jennifer Hudson. To put the three divas in the bottom three and give top votes to Jon? You Americans are crazy sometimes!!!

I was thinking about this...
Do you think, maybe Fantasia, Jennifer and LaToya are TOO much alike? Seriously, I used to get them confused... a finale with them might seem like three versions of the same person? Maybe?
Also, I'm starting to wonder how much of this voting is backlash. Singing is one thing, but as we said a couple weeks ago, people also seem to be voting on personality (John Stevens withstanding). Bringing Fantasia's child on stage on Tuesday was probably a bad move because it might have looked like a "love my baby, love me" moments... and early on in the competition Jennifer had a few attitude problems... maybe things are coming back to haunt people now?
Again, I still feel what happened tonight was wrong. WAY wrong. I'm just trying to come up with something resembling an explanation.

It was WAY wrong tonight, I agree.
I was thinking . . . maybe some people were voting for thier underdog favorites, and thought that other Americans would vote for the three lovely divas. I mean what else could have happened?! It has been a horrib;e night for American Idol. They truely lost a great singer tonight.

Bringing Fantasia's child on stage on Tuesday was probably a bad move because it might have looked like a "love my baby, love me" moments... My brother said the same thing to my mom and I yesterday, but he was quickly reminded that Fantasia did not bring her daughter out there. RYAN brought her out there.

This is true. And maybe it wasn't all Ryan either. The producers of Idol sound like they're to blame for that little stunt... try to sweeten America to the judges' favorite singer, perhaps? Also, though it's not fair, you have to wonder if being 19 with a child didn't kill some of her voting base. It's not right, AT ALL but I know people who wouldn't vote for an unwed, single mother.

I don't get it- if everyone hates Jon Stevens so much then WHO IS VOTING FOR HIM?! llam it makes absolutely NO sense. The entire thing is probably rigged. Hey WicKayed my brother has been saying the same thing about Fantasia since day one. He follows the message boards and apparently people really are basing their votes on the fact that she's a 19 year-old unmarried mom. Just makes you wanna say 'come on America, it's a SINGING competition, it's not Morals R Us.' ;D ;D Ouch did that sound really bad?
