Wed. at school, I was on my way to 1st period when my friend, Sarah came running up to me shouting "Zach! Guess What!", then she handed me a paper that said "Auditions: THE WIZARD OF OZ"! Turns out that the Kokomo Civic Theatre has decided to do Oz as their summer musical. Auditions are Saturday, May 22nd & i'm already prepping! I've been doing some fine tuning on my voice. I am so excited, especially after my drama teacher told me we couldn't do Oz for our spring play because of money.
The only trouble is, i've never auditioned for a musical before. I wanted to know if anyone could give me any tips on musical auditons &/or singing in general. I'm auditioning for the Scarecrow, his range is B flat to F sharp, but I really have no clue what my range is. I've been rehearsing the song every night & my mom says I sound great, but I recorded my self singing & played it back & I thought it was horrible, my moms said it was poor mic quality. Any pointer would be appreciated.
