Okay, so where we last left of we were talking about Matt Caplan and how hot he is/how great he is in the role. Has anybody here seen Rent recently?

I WISH I was going again soon! I think its the kind of show that you need to see more than once to really understand. I've only seen it once and I loved the music, but while watching it, I was so confusified by the plot. I want to see it once more with the yummy Matt Caplan before Drew Lachey (ugh) takes his place.
And lets just say... it's not exactly the best show to see with parents lol. Kind of awkward. Even worse when you're sitting next to your friend's parent... yeah. A little uncomfortable there lol. I would've had a better time if I was with a bunch of friends or something.
The cool thing about the Nederlander is, there's no stage door... the actors just come through the lobby. The bad thing about the Nederlander... it's small and after a show, the lobby is usually so crowded with people waiting for autographs. My foot got stepped on way more than once llam.

There is a stage door...it's just not easily or legally accessible by the fans. And about being with your parents...I've been with my mother twice...not so bad...she gets to see what I like and understand that I'm not shallow and yet think it's odd that I like this crazy and "sexual" musical...lol...she hates La Vie Boheme and Contact...I just scream!

haah ya i was lucky to see with with my friends mom and not mine hah...
very awkward when lines come up like mucho masterbation in "la vie boheme" and all the sexual scenes and some of the language..hehe
when i play it i have to turn it down low or listen to it in headphones because when i first got it i had it BLASTED and my brothers were in the next room and I had on "The Tango Maureen" and you hear ______like echoing throughout my house haha

I would NOT want to see rent with my parents bc i dont think they would let me see it again! But when I saw it..I sat next to my friends mom..I think its different seeing it with ur friends mom than your own parents.. Well I still love it no matter who I see it with!! The mucho masturbation part in "La Vie Boheme" is so funny because the music stops and Matt just says "..mucho masturbation"..When I saw the show at first I had no clue what he said but when I heard the cd it made perfect sense.. Rent is so funny..because of the 'sexual' comedy...but is also very very sad..especially at the end  |
