I saw it today and LOVED IT. I think the idea of a perfect world is just such a cool thing to address. I think it was amazingly well made and just awesome. Has anyone else seen it?

Saw it last week. Took my mommy. I had absolutely no expectations for this flick so I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Roger Bart totally made that movie spectacular. Every time he came on screen I had to hiss 'look, it's SNOOPY!' ;D

OMG!!! DID HE PLAY THE GAY GUY?! I COULD NOT REMEMBER WHERE I RECOGNIZED HIM FROM!! Whoo, now I know. lol. one my favorite lines of his was:
(Bobbi and Joanna have just snuck into the hallway of the mens' club. Roger comes up and they hear footsteps) Joanna: Uh oh, they're coming! Roger: Huh! THE MEN FOLK!
I was gonna pee my pants laughing

"Oh my God! His Hairspray program!" ;D
Saw it last Friday with my boyfriend and LOVED it. I loved the comment that Bette Midler was making with the pinecones...but I won't list them here. So go see the movie!

Omg I saw it with my mom and her friend cuz the movie I was going to go see was sold out, but I still wanted to see Stepford Wives. Any time they mentioned sex or anything like that, I was like "Okay, this is akward." lol
And I LOVED "Oh my god. His Hairspray program!" too

I loved that movie... the whole robot/love thingy was kinda creepy but otherwise it was so funny. I loved Roger Bart as the gay man... yes, the Hairspray program and the pinecone jokes... LMAO!!! I almost cried when Roger Bart turns into a "serious politician" and loses his funny gay side. I was like, "NOOO!"

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I read a thing in the paper around the time it came out that said the movie went through several screening audiences in order to get the movie as funny as possible. I apologize in advance, but I kinda don't expect to like the movie that much. I mean, I might like the comedy, but I've seen most of the original, and comedy kinda ruins the idea. The original was meant as a sort of horror movie, I think. And speaking of Roger Bart...isn't he the gay assistant to "Roger Elizabeth DeBris" in "The Producers?" And then didn't he do Leo Bloom at one point? If so, it sorta makes sense that he'd do a gay character in this movie.

Yes, Roger Bart was in The Producers. I saw him as the "common-law assistant." He was hysterical!

Also in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" as Snoopy (same cast Kristin was in as Sally).
I really love Roger Bart and I was SO happy to see him in a substantial role on the big screen. My friends who went with me to see the movie had no idea who he was (not huge Broadway nerds like I) and left the theater absolutely gushing about his performance. "Where has that guy BEEN?! He should do more movies!" *BIG smile* I love it when any Broadway star makes it on to the movie screen and gets more public attention.
