Every school has those cheesy surveys that force you to choose amongst your classmates who is the "Best Dressed", or "Biggest Class Clown", or "Most Likely to Run A Monopolizing Company and Own a Third-World Country". And if some place as lowly and depressing as school can have this tradition, why can't some place as awesome as this website? So, here they are:
I came up with this idea a few months ago, and never really followed through with it, but finally, I've had some time to sit down and think up some good categories worthy of awards (with some help from friends, of course) and I think that Verdigris has grown in the last almost-year that we can find those people who stand out in these categories. So here's the proceedure...
First, for the next few weeks, search throughout the board and find suitable nominees for the following categories. Then go through and decide which one person you chose is fit to win an award for that. Then, once the voting time period begins, PM me with your votes. Please, to make this easy on me, simply copy/paste the list of categories and write the name of your nominee next to it. Then, I will go through and tally the votes, and on a special night (not sure which one yet though
, I will announce the winners and we'll all celebrate...by ourselves. Of course, it'll still be as fun and suspensful as the Tony Awards themselves. Who knows, maybe we'll even have some performances!
