Avenue Q Forum Harrassment

Hi, I am the President of the Official Avenue Q fanclub.

I just want to post and let you know that there are some members coming to the Avenue Q website and posting on the forum about how much the show sucks, calling us PUPPETT GEEKS, and saying how we didn't deserve the Tony Award. These two girls are being relentless and I know at least one of them posts here and I want to say how upset I am at this.

The girl on this board who comes an harasses us has a Verdrgris user name of: IMGREEN

I really don't think it's fair for these girls to be harassing Avenue Q fans. We do not come to your board and post about how much we think your show sucks, BECAUSE WE DON'T THINK THAT. WE LOVE WICKED TOO. There are a great deal of Avenue Q fans who love Wicked. But, these girls are under the impression that if we like Avenue Q we don't have the capacity to like any other show. This couldn't be further from the truth.

I love Wicked too. And I know that most, if not all, of you here would be ashamed that these girls have nothing better to do than come to our board and harass us. I think it is absolutely absurd that this should be allowed to go on. I know that it is no fault of anyone on this board that these girls come to our forum. But, it is not cool and I don't think it should be allowed to continue.

The purpose of this post is to let you know who this girl is, what her username is, and that she should not be allowed to come to our forum and talk down to us. I think it's a pretty reasonable request to let us exist in peace and not have arguements. I know no one from this board, besides these two girls, have been doing this and I am glad. But, please, whoever the administrator of this board it, have a talk with these girls and tell them to leave our board alone.

Hey there.

People who harass people on boards are called trolls - they post at the board for the sole purpose of annoying people. The only real way to be rid of a troll is to ignore them until they get tired of trying without success. The administrators of this board are not responsible for the actions of posters here and what they post on other boards. Also, for the record, IMGREEN is new here, so we couldn't have controlled her previous trolling because we didn't really know about her.

I just wish that some of the Q fans would learn to ignore them. As much as I want to reply to some of the nasty things that they say, I just let them be. I just don't want to get involved with them anymore.

Unfortunately, we have no control of what members do on other forums. If you do indeed have a messageboard, there should be a way to block abusive posters. I know there is here. We've done it before and will do it again should Verdigris come into some trouble. However, as mentioned before, trolls happen everywhere and really, as a BoZ (Mod) here, nothing can be done to the offenders save to ask them to please stop - with most trolls, that rarely works.

Sorry for the inconviencence and I hope things start getting better now but, because there are two topics for this, and seeing as this is the later one, this topic is now locked.
