The Mary Poppins Musical looks good. That was one of my favorite movies growing up. I sure hope that if it's successful in London, it'll come over to Broadway. I would love to see it.

I want to see it too! There is speculation that if it comes to Broadway, Laura Michelle Kelly, who originated the role in London, will originate the role on Broadway.

I thought it was successful? And I thought it already is planning on coming to broadway? Is it really coming to Broadway? I didn't know that. Where have you heard that if you don't mind me asking? I go to broadway.com almost daily and I haven't seen anything like that yet.

www.playbill.com/news/article/90179.htmlThis article has a hint of it at the end. "it seems all but certain that Kelly will be asked to lead the show on Broadway" That's all I could find, but I know it's been mentioned. EDIT: I found an article that mentions it's coming in the 2005-2006 Broadway season! Third paragraph from the end, before the info about the movie. www.playbill.com/news/article/84041.html

Cool. Thanks. Certainly can't wait for it to come this way. Maybe I'll see a few of you there.

I want to see it soo much!!! I've heard that it's amazing! I always thought that Julie Andrews was great in the movie, and a lot of critics are saying that Laura Michelle Kelly makes he look like a complete amateur. At first I was worried about how it would translate to the stage, but it looks like everyone involved in the show has done a great job!

OMUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D I saw the musical in London! AMAZING set and special effects. I like the added songs. Also, this is a bit darker than the movie, because Mary Poppins is like the only Disney movie without somebody dying or a bad guy or whatever. Still, it was GREAT!!! I hope it comes to Broadway!!! (But, the umbrella thing kinda freaks me out. HOW the heck does she stand so straight? )

Saw it with karatekid (well, I am her sister) and have this to say:
IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I was a little skeptical when my parents bought us tickets, because when one hears "Mary Poppins" one thinks immediately "the movie I was obsessed with when I was five," but this was much better, in my mind, then the movie. It was book based, so it is darker than the movie, and the added songs blended in really well with the original songs. Laura Michelle Kelly was amazing. All in all, the show was "Practically Perfect" and I can't wait until it comes to Broadway.
