Highly doubtful. I wouldn't trust antyhing from a website thats URL is "Entertainment my way", they kept misspelling "Chenoweth" "Chenowith", and this alleged friend described the fight scene in reverse - Glinda starts it, not Elphaba. And the reason why Kristin left was because of deals; she had taken the Pink Panthor because it was in New York, but then she was offered West Wing and Asphalt Beach, so she had to leave New York, much in the same way Idina left because of Rent.

Plus, people usually don't talk publicly about such rivalries. Sounds like a tabloid article to me...

Seems like a tabloid to me. As others have said, any article that continually misspells someone's name immediately loses all credibility. Plus, the writer keeps referring to "sources" without actually saying who those sources were, which makes me suspicious.
I did notice, though, that they were bandying about Joel Gray's name a lot. Surely they wouldn't have done that unless he had actually said something...?

I was wondering if it was a tabloid or not.

Well, even if some of this stuff is true, a lot of it could've been taken out of context or over exaggerated. And if Kristen really was slapped it could have very well been by accident (believe me, I'm in a theater class and we were practicing fight scenes and one of the girls accidently hit me [luckily not very hard]) and if the two actresses did have some fights, well almost all friends have fights right? I really don't believe a lot of this anyway. So....thats my opinion .

Accidents are totally possible...we did the Wiz a couple years ago, and I have friends who still claim they have scars from my Kalidah routine. Oops.

Oh yea one question, during the catfight, are they suppose to make the slap sounds themselves or does somone do it off stage?

The material looked too heavy for them to slap their legs or anything to make the sounds so I'm guessing off stage (not sure though. good question.)

There's a way that you can actually slap someone and make a sound and not hurt them... I don't know how to do it, since I've never had to slap someone onstage before. But it's like if you slap with a certain part of your hand on a certain part of your opponent's face, you can use the same amount of pressure and force as a real slap and it will look and sound real, but won't hurt so much. I'm guessing that that's what they do.

So far as I know, the slapping noise is a sound effect, because sometimes they've had problems with timing, I think.

The second time I saw it, Eden slapped Kristin, and the sound effect didn't go off until a few seconds later. Of course, that night they had tons of technical and costume problems. 'Twas fun, actually. ^_^
